Surfing the Internet
• Always show respect online
• Do not use bad language
• Communicate on the internet with words
that you would repeat to your mother.
• Respect rules set my your parents or teacher.
Safety First
Alwaysask a parent or teacher
before connecting to the internet
Ask your parent or teacher before
connecting to the internet!
If you answered “my parents tell me it’s OK”, You are CORRECT.
Even if you have a dog that can stand on it’s head and you sister’s hair turns purple, always remember to get permission from your
parents before getting on the internet!
Be Careful with the people you meet and the
places you go….

the internet!
Never share personal
information like…
• Your Name
• Your Age
• Your Address
• Your Phone Number
• Your Parent’s Information
• Your Email address
• Your School Name
• Your password or user
name
Just as you stay away from strangers on the street,
Be careful about strangers on the internet!
Never agree to meet anyone you meet on
the internet!
Just like strangers, tell your parents if someone talks to you in
the wrong manner online or if someone wants to try and meet
you.
If you answered “B” you are CORRECT.
If you answered “A” remember you should never communicate with anyone you do not know.
Never put or send pictures on the
internet without you parent or
teacher’s permission!
Always let your parent or teacher help
when putting pictures on the internet.
Respect your internet rules set
by your parents.

2. While on the Internet, you see a website that makes you feel uncomfortable.
What should you do?
a. Write down the name and don’t go there again.
b. Tell your friends, so they can avoid it too.
c. Go tell a parent, guardian or teacher.
d. Unplug the computer.
3. It is okay to send someone online your picture when:
a. They send you theirs first
b. You send them an old picture
c. As long as you don’t send them your address too
d. Only if a parent or guardian is with you and says it is okay
4. When you get on the internet, you should:
a. Wait until your parents are asleep.
b. Tell you parents you want to get on the internet.
c. Hide in your closet with your laptop.
5. If you have been talking on the Internet to a person for a long time, and they want to
meet, which is okay to do?
a. Meet them, as long as you bring a friend.
b. Meet in a public place.
c. Tell someone where you will be before you go.
d. Ask your parent or guardian first and have them go with you.
