Think about all of the productions you’ve completed – look at the list
below and add in any other productions that you have completed that
required you to use digital technology

WHEN AND HOW YOU USED DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY
THE IMPACT OF THE DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY YOU
USED
Task 2: Which technology did you use for each production
and how did it impact on your final outcomes?
 Before you start, choose 5 productions from your list
 Write each one into your book but leave at least 5 lines
(maybe more) between each one
 Next, write down an example of a technology you used to
complete this production in your book next to the
production in which you used it.
 Now – think of an EXAMPLE of HOW you used the
technology in your production. Write into your book
briefly describing HOW you used the technology (the
process).
 Finally- say what the EFFECT of using this digital
technology was CREATIVELY. How did using the technology
here help your final product ? Write this into your book
THE IMPACT OF THE DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY YOU
USED
Premiere
Pro
We used fade to black
transitions in between
many of the clips. I did
this by selecting the
fade in out icon from the
dissolves folder in video
transitions from the
effects menu. I then
dragged the icon onto
the clip I wanted to fade
out or in. I found this
process very easy to do.
The use of the fades made it seem
like time was passing and helped us
move from scene to scene at a rapid
pace, which added to the tension
and helped the audience understand
that we were building up the
suspense – an idea we borrowed
from the film IT.

THE IMPACT OF THE DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY YOU USED Task 2: Which technology did you use for each production and how did it impact on your final outcomes?  Before you start, choose 5 productions from your list  Write each one into your book but leave at least 5 lines (maybe more) between each one  Next, write down an example of a technology you used to complete this production in your book next to the production in which you used it.  Now – think of an EXAMPLE of HOW you used the technology in your production. Write into your book briefly describing HOW you used the technology (the process).  Finally- say what the EFFECT of using this digital technology was CREATIVELY. How did using the technology here help your final product ? Write this into your book
  • 5. THE IMPACT OF THE DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY YOU USED Premiere Pro We used fade to black transitions in between many of the clips. I did this by selecting the fade in out icon from the dissolves folder in video transitions from the effects menu. I then dragged the icon onto the clip I wanted to fade out or in. I found this process very easy to do. The use of the fades made it seem like time was passing and helped us move from scene to scene at a rapid pace, which added to the tension and helped the audience understand that we were building up the suspense – an idea we borrowed from the film IT.
