Redefining Success: How to Take Charge of Your CareerAnna Lundberg
The uncertain economic situation along with a changing work landscape has transformed the conditions for success in our personal and professional lives. It’s no longer a question of staying comfortably in the same job until we retire, while the boundaries between work and home have also blurred. We must become proactive and take ownership of our own careers, and our lives. We must open our minds to different options, challenging our assumptions and taking calculated risks; we must make sure that we’re constantly developing our skills via lifelong learning that will ensure that we’re competitive against our peers, not just locally but globally; we must take responsibility for the direction of our own careers, making meaningful connections and building our personal brands; and we must do all this with passion and conviction, as we craft our own versions of our most fulfilled lives.

Engagement For All: Fostering Intergenerational Collaboration in the Workplace Kam Kazemi
Employee engagement is not just about making millennials happy, despite all the hype on the topic. Instead, true engagement means creating a collaborative workplace where all employees are heard and given what they need to thrive. In this interactive session, author and millennial workplace expert Adam Smiley Poswolsky, with Joanna Miller, Learning and Development Lead at Asana, the fastest-growing Work Management platform for teams, shared how HR leaders can build a purpose-driven culture that engages all of your employees. Smiley shared common stereotypes about millennial employees as well as discussed the similarities and differences between Gen-Zers and Millennials, and Gen-Xers and Baby Boomers. Joanna tells the story of how Asana—a 2018 Top 5 Best Place to Work two years in a row and the #1 Best Workplace in Technology—built one of the most attractive workplace cultures in the industry. Joanna will share how Asana’s ""Roadmap Week"" program allows employees to have an inclusive way to co-create and co-contribute to each other’s visions and objectives each quarter. She also highlighted lessons from a recent Asana initiative on diversity and inclusion for all, and how Asana learned to best incorporate the needs of different generations across company culture programs.

CS for everyone. This presentation provides ppl an introduction to the importance of Computer Science. As we learned from the Pandemic, technology is the tool that can help humanity during its darkest hours. In this book, we will reflect on the importance that tech plays and why future generations need to learn coding.
Technology is a growing industry and it is shifting every aspect of our society. Now more than ever, this industry requires a workforce that is fully diverse and inclusive across all its functions. Findings reveal that there is far less students enrolling in STEM disciplines than required by the labor market and the numbers are even lower for students from underrepresented communities. Our goal is to increase the rate of enrolment in STEM disciplines by engaging girls from minority groups who drop out of STEM courses because they see it as too hard or irrelevant for their careers.
A presentation to support regional schools exploring the Digital Technologies curriculum, ICT capability, deep learning pedagogies and the Leading Lights project
In this presentation, which was originally given at the Maastricht Week of Global Entrepreneurship in 2014, you will hear the story of how pivoting can lead you in new directions.
First, when you begin to think of creating your own startup or small business, you will want to find what dissatisfies you. For me, that was access to learning computer programming for all children. Through hosting workshops for kids in coding, I learned from parents and teachers that they, too, wanted to know more about technology, but didn't know where to get started. That's when I decided to test out a new idea, which was a workshop series for adults to learn computer programming in an easy and non-threatening way.
Coding and Cocktails is now looking to expand to other cities throughout the world in order to teach HTML and CSS in fun-filled workshop settings. If you're interested in working with us, please email me!

Systematic Literature Reviews Health Information Management JournalJenine Beekhuyzen
There is a need to enhance the effectiveness and reach of complex health promotion initiatives by providing opportunities for diverse health promotion practitioners and others to interact in online settings. This paper reviews the existing literature on how to take health promotion communities and networks into online settings. A scoping review of relevant bodies of literature and empirical evidence was undertaken to provide an interpretive synthesis of existing knowledge on the topic. Sixteen studies were identified between 1986 and 2007. Relatively little research has been conducted on the process of taking existing offl ine communities and networks into online settings. However, more research has focused on offline (i.e. not mediated via computer networks); ‘virtual’ (purely online with no offl ine interpersonal contact); and ‘multiplex’ communities (i.e. those that interact across both online and offl ine settings). Results are summarised under three themes: characteristics of communities in online and offl ine settings; issues in moving offl ine communities online, and designing online communities to match community needs. Existing health promotion initiatives can benefit from online platforms that promote community building and knowledge sharing. Online ehealth promotion settings and communities can successfully integrate with existing offl ine settings and communities to form ‘multiplex’ communities (i.e. communities that operate fl uently across both online and offl ine settings).

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.
Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!
