It has several key principles: 1) Students are exposed to extensive multimedia resources for input. 2) Tasks encourage comprehension and feedback on production. 3) Grammar is taught through contexts and communicative tasks. 4) Interaction focuses on specific forms and phrases. 5) Formulaic language like idioms are practiced. 6) Students actively produce language to apply their skills. 7) Both positive and negative error correction are provided. 8) Affective factors like anxiety that impact learning are recognized.
