DibbsBarker and Aquenta Consulting present a one-day seminar which will outline best practice
project planning and construction contract administration and the consequences of not meeting
schedule and risk management obligations. This workshop will provide you with an overview of
project planning standards, float and time contingency analysis, Extension of Time (EOT) claims
management and the critical interface between effective project planning, schedule risk analysis
and successful acceleration, disruption and delay cost claims.

Aquenta Consulting
Pedram leads the Aquenta Consulting project controls team, delivering integrated project schedule, cost and
risk platforms; transparent and practical Integrated Project Controls solutions; and independent quantitative
risk services to a wide range of clients across the transport, resources and infrastructure sectors. Prior to
joining Aquenta, Pedram was Engineering Head of Planning & Risk for UGL and delivered a wide range of
projects across the Water, Power Generation, Power Systems, Coal, LNG/Oil & Gas sectors.
Pedram is recognised as an expert in his field with exceptional knowledge and experience in quantitative risk analysis, project
risks and schedules analysis and planning. He is frequently invited to share his experience at high profile industry events and
conferences across the world and is actively involved in advancing the risk management profession, currently serving as NSW
Chairman of the Risk Engineering Society.
Salvatore Lacaria, Principal
Aquenta Consulting
Salvatore is a Principal in Aquenta’s Sydney office and national leader for Project Services. In the past
few years, Salvatore has been involved in a number of civil and infrastructure projects providing Project
Management, Planning & Scheduling and Subject Matter Expert services. Currently, Salvatore leads the
Aquenta team delivering Planning and Scheduling Advisory services on the North West Rail Link project.
As an experienced leader with a natural aptitude for problem solving, Salvatore is known by his clients and his team for
achieving strategic cut-through. By applying technical expertise in project and program management with a multidisciplinary
engineering background, Salvatore quickly identifies key drivers and interdependencies and excels in the creation of integrated
solutions that connect people, procedures, systems and tools with objectives and outcomes.
Veno Panicker, Special Counsel
DibbsBarker
Veno is a special counsel in the DibbsBarker Property & Projects Services Group, member of the Energy,
Resources & Infrastructure Industry Group and a highly respected dispute resolution practitioner. With over
a decade of experience providing specialist dispute resolution services for Construction and Major Projects,
Veno provides adjudication, litigation, expert determination, facilitated negotiation and domestic and crossborder arbitration to major and mid-tier contractors, developers and financiers across Australia. He has acted in disputes in
various jurisdictions across Australia, from lower Courts and Tribunals, to Appellate Courts and the High Court and has been
involved in cross-border arbitration in Singapore, China and Indonesia.
