3. The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry
Fine, and Curly Howard)
First of the three brothers in an old comedy,
He whose impersonation of Adolf Hitler to draw attention
to some of their short films,
He who was the bellicose, controlling of the three,
He a short-tempered bully, faced to make funny violence
against the other two,
He recognized for his bowl cut hair-do.
This brother is recognized for his oddly bushy hair,
He staying in the background and giving a voice of reason
to his character,
He brightening up a scene by making some random remark
or ridiculous action.
Last of the three,
He the funny, kind of chubby looking one, always cheery,
he the bald one,
He expressions that suited his character to be the funniest
one of the three,
Sometimes barking at people whenever he was afraid or
threatened.
Still
One day, a boy rides a sled down a hill,
The boy tipped over,
overbearing a thrill,
Trying to think no one saw him,
he just acted chill.
Even though he fell off the sled,
he got up and stood still.
4. Ode to Nature
The sun melts down into waters all glowing,
Spreading its rays in dazzling waves always flowing,
Geysers of glittering spray scare away my frowning,
Water swirls around the shores, great winds slowing,
The sky grows dark, and the stars are snowing,
Black waves roll to shore forever growing,
I walk along that shore, with sand blowing,
Expanding and covering as far was its showing,
And my soul relishes in the knowing,
Moon light, majestic, ghostly, on the water before lowing.
5. Limerick Poems
Spots
There once was a dog named spots
Who had bright red poka-dots
He looked like a chicken
That looked kind of sickened
But earned him a job at big lots
A Frog
A frog once jumped into a pool
Just so he could always stay cool
But it was a mistake
He ran into a rake
Now the frog looks just like a fool
A cow, A Snake, and A Goat
A cow, a snake, and a goat
Were once floating around in a boat
The boat was a bit too heavy
So they used the snake as a levy
So now they have to find a moat
