This document reviews and compares various team development and collaboration tools including Prezi, Weebly, Windows Movie Maker, Google+, Elluminate Live!, and Skype. For each tool, the document identifies pros and cons. It provides information on the purpose and basic functionality of each tool. The reference page cites additional sources for information on the individual tools.

3. Prezi is a website where users can create and
design presentations. Also known as a “virtual
whiteboard,” it gives those who view the
project a better understanding and visual of
the ideas presented with movements.

4. PREZI -PROS
 Free
 Not full of linear slides like PowerPoint, but instead the user can add
different movements in order to make the presentation come alive.
 The three movements, or transitions, are proximity, rotation, and
scale/zoom. Using these transitions make a Prezi come to life.
 Able to import PowerPoint's

5. PREZI - CONS
 Must create a user account to even look at the tools to create a
project which can be annoying for those who just wan to create a
project without having to log in every time
 Requires internet access in order to create projects, which can
become a hassle when internet is unavailable and a project needs
to get done

6. Weebly is a very easy to use and affordable tool
for creating websites. It is an excellent
platform to create websites without knowing
the inner workings of HTML.
WEEBLY

7. WEEBLY - PROS
 Free-$8 a Month
 Customizable websites including blogging, photo
galleries, slideshows, and uploading audio/video files
 Ads on your webpage are optional but collects statistical
data on website views
 Web-based; PC and Mac friendly

8. WEEBLY - CONS
 Limited languages (currently only supports
English, French, Spanish, German, Italian and
Chinese)
 Does not include an integrated order management
system
 Only accepts payments via PayPal or Google
checkout

9. Windows movie maker is a video editing
development tool that allows users to crop
video, audio, and even pictures together in to
one.

10. WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER - PROS
 Free
 Specific songs can also be added for background
 Easily manageable software; no video editing experience
required
 Affects and transitions which make video editing interesting
and fun

11. WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER - CONS
 Not for the advanced video editor; limited options
compared to professional video editing software
 Projects have to be saved frequently due to occasional
crashing
 Many versions of the product make it frustrating looking
at tutorials
 Not compatible with Mac

12. PRESENTATION TOOLS

13. Google+ is a social network, much like
Facebook. It gives users a way to connect with
family and friends who also have an account
with the site.

14. GOOGLE+ - PROS
 “Circles” can be created, letting users separate their friends or
people they know into different categories
 Features including IM and video chat, allowing more ways to
communicate with other people

15. GOOGLE+ - CONS
 Having to create an account. It is not a major issue, but it
can seem inconvenient when just trying to catch up with
someone
 Certain privacy settings can make all information on a
user’s profile public, which means any information that a
user may not want others to know could be publically
accessed

16. ELLUMINATE LIVE!
Elluminate Live! is an electronic
learning, conferencing, and online
collaboration tool designed for use in
education.

17.  Free for up to three users
 Includes: note taking features, two-way interactive video, archiving
and automatic indexing of e-learning sessions, organizational tools
for teachers (pop-up announcements, sorting of participants by
hand raising, timers, and other features), whiteboarding, and
various other collaboration tools
 Has helped to make the homeschooling environment more
cooperative and allows children to work with other children despite
each being in their own homes
ELLUMINATE LIVE! - PROS

18. ELLUMINATE LIVE! - CONS
 Mostly used in the field of learning, such as in the
collegiate level, rather in the corporate world
 Costly for groups of more than three participants

19. Skype is a great collaboration tool for team
projects because it offers voice and video
calling between computers.
SKYPE

20. SKYPE- PROS
 Free (much cheaper than its VoIP competitors
 Very easy to install, subscribe, and use
 Provides call waiting, voicemail, caller ID, call forwarding
and call transfer
 Windows, Mac and Android OS compatible

21. SKYPE- CONS
 Security concerns
 Call and connection qualities are not always good
 Does not work well for multi-party calling
 Limited features, lacks call return, and call blocking
