thoughts and feelings

feelings into the prophetic stream.
You learn to prophecy like a child learns
to walk, allow yourself to fall a few times
Withhold yourself from prophecy
when you work through personal
problems or emotional anxiety.
Prophecy under these conditions can
be unanointed, unedifying,and
unfortunate.

the operation of the prophetic.
11. Cultivate a hunger for
spiritual gifts
If you are not hungry to see spiritual
gifts operate in your life you wont have
it.
The word covet (have a strong desire
toward) is used 12 times in the NT and
refers to the seeking of spiritual gifts.
Blessed are they which do hunger and
thirst after righteousness; for they shall
be filled.

16. Receive the quickening of
Holy Spirit
The word translated “quickening” is used twelve
times in the NT and means “to make alive” and
“to give life”
A person who prophesies must learn how to be
quickened in his own spirit by Holy Spirit
The Word of God was inspired (God breathed)
by the Spirit, and thus the prophetic word must
be brought to life by the same Spirit
The Spirit will give the thoughts of the Lord to
the congregation, lifting them to the spiritual
realm
17. What to do
Don’t move forward to prophecy unless
you sense the inner prompting and
quickening of the Spirit upon you
A life of prayer, obedience, worship, and
reading of the Word will kindle the Spirit’s
quickening power in your life
18. Be sensitive to the lifting of the
prophetic spirit
Before one commences to prophecy there is the
awareness to some degree of the anointing upon
oneself
As one responds to this anointing and steps forward
by faith with a prophetic utterance, Holy Spirit
increases His prophetic anointing
As soon as the prophetic message is adequately
communicated, Holy Spirit will lesson His unction,
this is the best time to begin to slow down and stop
Some prophesies are long and some are short, one
must remember to start and stop according to the
flow of the Spirit
19. Learn how to begin speaking
Getting started in the prophetic is possibly
the most difficult part
Yet the more you do it the easier it
becomes
The first step must be taken in boldness
and faith
20. What’s boldness ?
To act with unexpected or seemingly
extreme conduct
To set out with a definite goal
To venture forth
To dare to do something
To utter something unreservedly
To loose all fear of something
21. Rid yourself of fear
Fear of self
Fear of others
Fear of mispronouncing words
Fear of being corrected afterwards
Fear of operating in a unknown realm
Fear of prophesying uninspired words
