Speed Design Studio was modified from the original based on insights from Cognitive Edge methods and is focused on extremely rapid iterations in an attempt to emerge team level understandings of design problems and solution language.
Due to efforts applied to tighten cycle times, Speed Design Studio can be taught in a 1-2 hr workshop.

This is a presentation that I gave that 2011 RISE University day at the University of Texas - a one day event held on the UT campus for undergraduate and graduate entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs-to-be.
Undesigned for: re-thinking interaciton through game-play design
This workshop provides a game session for training participants in using alternatively methods for ideas generations in the design area of activities and functions permitted by physical interfaces. Instead of fixed procedure of design thinking we propose models useful to criticize existing artefacts and to structure the intuitions in a collaborative context. In this way Game-Play Design approach will support the design practice in a variety of ways, e.g. by facilitating lateral thinking training methods, offering tools appropriate to work by context techniques, investigating potential interfaces development, or by providing opportunities for collaborative design exploration and new concepts generation.
Persons interested in participating should assume the role of gamers in predicting collaboratively novel uses of well-known objects placed in their unrelated scenarios. A potential outcome is to acquire a groundwork building method for managing and analyzing real-world scenarios of interaction with objects and environments. A further goal is to experiment unusual game design situations fruitful to stimulate the concepts generation using game materials furnished to support the overcoming of conditioning processes.
The training in self-conscious design by game-play method could bring benefits to several design fields, such as service, urban, interaction and product design. In this perspective the workshop aims to suggest a subversive operation by anticipating the user needs without restrictions. The collaborative brainstorming method is intended to open design dialogues by removing the limits and conventions of the creative thinking.
Designing Interaction with emotion
The document summarizes Michihito Mizutani's guest lecture at Aalto University on interaction design and emotion. The lecture included an introduction to interaction design, understanding emotion in design through case studies, and a group activity for students to design seductive user experiences with everyday objects. Students then presented their ideas to the class. The document provided context on defining interaction design and behaviors that shape everyday life through prototypes. 3. These spaces may facilitate the development of "glocal" political identities as players have enacting experiences that entangle their actual and possible identities across global and local worlds, past, present and future.
Work+: Presentation at Futures Festival 2018
As a proof of concept of how arts and fiction can broaden the scope of "thinkable futures", project WORK+ has collaboratively gathered 150+ fictional and artistic “fragments” on the futures of work. These include science fiction, visual and performing arts, speculative design, video games, utopias and manifestos, performances, and so on.
Based on this material, WORK+ has designed an open-source method to help groups and organizations kickstart collaborative thinking on the futures of work. The challenge:
• Use fiction and arts as leverage to embrace change
• Move away from conventional thinking on the future of work
• Dare invent more diverse futures and project oneself in them
This presentation presents the methodology, the content, and the takeaways of the first workshops.
