• the wider context of digital media, for example culture,
research and future trends in digital media, for
example audio and video formats;
• usability and Human Computer Interaction as it applies
to the development of interactive multimedia systems;
• the range of skills required in order to produce digital
media.

• To use the full range of skills and experiences
obtained on the module to create a DVD
suitable for playing on a standard DVD player,
connected to a Standard Definition PAL-based
television set.
10. The DVD
• 1. A two minute video about a personal hobby or interest.
• 2. A 20-second animated advertisement created in Flash. The advert
should promote your hobby or interest.
• 3. A sequence of images (minimum 5, maximum 10) created in Photoshop,
and designed to demonstrate
• some of the Photoshop techniques covered in the Photoshop lecture /
workshop
• 4. A submenu of your own design. This choice should take you to a
separate submenu screen offering 4
• choices:
– 1. The storyboard of your video. This must be neat, clear and readable.
– 2. Scrolling credits for every item that needs to be credited (eg sound and
image sources etc).
– 3. Scrolling bibliography for this piece of work.
– 4. Return to main menu.
