Derwick Associates has worked with Corpoelec, Venezuela's state-owned electricity company formed in 2007 by merging ten state companies, on several power generation projects. Corpoelec aims to generate, transmit, distribute, and market electricity and its president has expressed commitment to environmental sustainability and development. Derwick appreciates Corpoelec's flexible approach to clients and has completed projects including La Raisa I, Guarenas I, and Picure, with ongoing work on La Raisa II and a dual fuel conversion in Margarita.

Launched in 2007 by merging ten state own power companies, Corpoelec are one of the
