Registration
• Enter you email and preferred user name
• Accept terms of use
• Membership request is sent to forum administrator for approval
• Once approved – forum issues a code to enable login – using your
registered email address and user name

• Hover your user
roundel to display
your summary
profile information.
• Click on your user
roundel to go to
your profile page.
• Click edit profile in
top right hand
corner.
• Add or edit your
own personal
details.
• Add background
and interest in the
forum.
• See who has
viewed you or your
activity.

Adding Forum Content
1. On the forum page - click ‘Create’ and
choose ‘Topic' button or select ‘Start
new topic.
2. Then select the forum in which you wish
to post from the drop down menu.
3. Add your topic title and then select one
or more tags from the pre-selected list of
tags from the drop down menu.
4. Enter the text and images you wish to
use (if necessary) into the topic body
editor field.
5. Dialogue box includes an on screen editor
- simple text formatting and presentation
editor plus option to attach files or
graphics.
6. Once you are happy with the content
then press the 'Submit topic' button
and your content will be live!

Adding Other Content
1. Click ‘Create’.
2. Choose the relevant button for news,
announcement or event etc
3. News follows similar process for forum
topics.
4. Add your title and then select one or more
tags from the pre-selected list of tags from
the drop down menu.
5. Enter the text and images you wish and on
screen editor Once you are happy with the
content then press the 'Submit topic’
6. Event brings up a calendar view – with start
(date/time), end (date/time) and topic. You
can add description and again attach files
or photos plus specify a location.
7. Once happy press ‘Submit an event’ for
calendar

Contributing to Discussion
1. Select forum
2. Choose a discussion thread
3. View previous comments
4. Select ‘Reply to this topic’
either as red button or in
dialogue box below thread –
bring up an onscreen text
editor
5. Click submit ‘Reply’
6. You can also choose to follow
or hide topic

Using Tags and Search Function
• ‘Tags’ are key words/phrases that
can be applied to posts whether as
topic, news or event.
• Clicking an individual ‘tag’ brings up
all activity related to that tag
• The search bar
allows for a free text
search on specific
words
• Results can be
filtered by a range
of options
