This webinar discussed technology and dementia, focusing on three organizations: Tover, Digital Voice, and Luminate Scotland. Tover presented their light-based gaming system, the Tovertafel, which uses interactive light projections to stimulate physical and social activity for people with dementia. Digital Voice discussed their DigitalMe, DigiTale, and LifeBooks programs which use digital stories and reminiscence work. Luminate Scotland promotes creative engagement for older adults, including those with dementia, through projects, training, and online resources developed during the pandemic. The webinar provided information on each organization's approach and took questions from attendees.

“Dave, my local volunteer was an
invaluable help. Finding technical
support is hard when you don’t
know who to ask or who to trust. I
find computer terminology baffling.
Feeling a lot more confident now,
knowing that Ability Net can lend
support. Thank you so much.
A wonderful charity.”

Luminate feedback
• Luminate@Home: “It is very difficult and time consuming to find
suitable activities for residents in a care home and all these were
amazing” – survey respondent
• Digital dance project: “It’s so uplifting, it’s just wonderful. That
doesn’t just go for the residents, but for the staff too, and for
myself. There's been a few difficult weeks, one week particularly -
it’d been awful. And I came out of [the room where the dance
workshop was taking place] and felt so much better - to be part of
that fun, it was just lovely.” Kathy - Manager at Anderson’s Care
Home.
