This document outlines the rules for a debate competition for 8th standard students. DEBATE
1. Each speaker will be
given 2 minutes to present
their viewpoint. A bell will
be rung at the completion
of 2 minutes. A grace of 30
seconds will be allotted
after that to wind up their
debate.

4. 2. After the speaker finishes
his/ her debate, two minutes
would be allotted for Rebuttal.
3. The Rebuttal may be in the
form of short and precise
questions asked by the
opponents on the contents of
the speaker’s presentation.
