The Bhaskar Champs Club is an initiative of the Dainik Bhaskar Group that provides a platform for kids to interact through engaging extracurricular activities. As part of this, the Junior Editor 2011 competition encouraged kids grades 1-12 to create an 8-page manual newspaper to promote reading habits. Over 2,150 entries were submitted from states across India and exhibited in 6 locations. The competition aimed to enroll 25,000 new subscriptions to Bal Bhaskar and Young Bhaskar kid's magazines. Winning entries were recognized at an award ceremony in New Delhi attended by the Chief of Army Staff.

Bhaskar Champs Club
The Bhaskar Champs Club is a special initiative of Dainik Bhaskar Group that endeavors to
provide a platform to kids to interact with other schools on grounds of various engaging
activities. It's based on the partnership between the schools and our organization with a
commitment towards excellence in education and diverse extracurricular activities. The
club will offer a bouquet of enriching activities and a bundle of educational products like
Young Bhaskar, Bal Bhaskar and Bhaskar Lakshya Magazine.

In today’s age it is a challenge to inculcate the
habit of reading newspaper with the new
generation.
Objective
Encourage newspaper reading habit amongst the younger
generation through increasing interactivity with the newspaper and
to consolidate the current positioning of brand Bal Bhaskar and
Young Bhaskar as the largest read kid’s magazine across Dainik
Bhaskar markets and promote the same in new markets like Gujarat
and Jharkhand.

• Involve the kids in an interactive competition
to showcase their imagination while making
newspaper a bit more fun.
Idea • Ask kids from 1st to 12th class to prepare a
newspaper in Hindi or English or both the
languages
• Help them with a template of 8 pages
Execution • Give them enough time to execute it: 2
months (20th February 2011- 15th June
2011)
• To enrol 25,000 new memberships of Bal
