St. Patrick's Day is celebrated on March 17th, where people in Ireland and those in the United States attend Mass, participate in parades wearing green or shamrocks, and imbibe alcohol to honor St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland who is celebrated in the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches for banishing all serpents from Ireland using the shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity.
