In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…
2. DAWAH TO HINDUS
DEFINITION OF HINDUS & HINDUISM
RELIGIOUS BOOKS OF HINDUISM
CONCEPT OF GOD IN HINDUISM
CASTE SYSTEM IN HINDUISM
CONCEPT OF PUNARJANAM
MUHAMMAD (PBUH) PROPHESIED IN
THE HINDU SCRIPTURES
4. Hindu is a geographical definition for people living
beyond the river Sindhu.
Hinduism is a misnomer. It should be referred as
Sanatan Dharma or Vedic Dharma meaning
religion of the Veda. (According to Hindu scholars)
According to Swami Vivekananda the follower of
this religion is referred as Vedantist.
6. RELIGIOUS BOOKS OF HINDUISM
The two main religious books:- Sruti and Smrti.
1) Sruti means revealed.
They are considered to be of divine origin.
Srutis consists of the Vedas and the Upanishads.
2) Smrti means memorized. mythology.
Smrtis consisting of the Puranas and Itihas.
The Smrti are not considered to be of divine origin
but are human composition.
7. RELIGIOUS BOOKS OF HINDUISM
Srutis consists of the Vedas and the Upanishads
Vedas:- derived from ‘Vid’, to know.
There are 4 major divisions of the Vedas.
Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samveda & Atharvaveda.
Upanishads:- means “sitting down”. Like groups of
pupils sitting near the teacher .
They are the concluding portion of the Vedas.
8. RELIGIOUS BOOKS OF HINDUISM
Smrtis consisting of the Puranas and Itihas
Puranas: history of the creation of the universe.
Chief among the Puranas is Bhavishya Purana. It
gives an account of future events.
Itihas:-
1) Ramayan, life story of Rama written by Valmiki.
2) Mahabharata, (written by Ved Vyasa) speaks
about feud between the Pandavas & Kauravas
Bhagwad Gita is a part of Mahabharata. Advice given
by Krishna to Arjun on the battlefield of Kurukshetra.
10. CONCEPT OF GOD IN HINDUISM
Common Hindu may say 3, 33, 33 crore i.e. 330 millions. But if
you ask a Hindu learned man he will tell you that the Hindus
should believe and worship only 1 God.
Chandogya Upanishad, Chapter 6, Khanda 2, Shloka 1,
“Ekam evaditiyam”, “He is the one only”.
The BrahmaSutra of Hindu Vedanta is:-“Ekam Brahm, dvitiya
naste nen na naste kinchan” “Bhagwan ek hi hai dusara nahi
hai, nahi hain, zara bhi nahi hai.”
“There is only 1 God, not the second, not at all, not in least bit”
These verses essentially promote monotheism.
11. IS IDOL WORSHIP ALLOWED ???
“Natasya pratima asti” there is no image of Him” (Yajurved 32:3)
"...Of that God you cannot make any images." (Yajurved 3:32)
“Shudham poapvidham” “He is bodiless & pure”(Yajurveda 40:8)
(Yajurved 40:9) “Andhatma pravishanti ye asambhuti
mupaste” “They enter darkness, those who worship natural
things” For e.g. air, water, fire etc.
It further continues and says …“They sink deeper in
darkness those who worship sambhuti i.e. created things” e.g.
such as statues, pictures, idols, etc.
If you analyze Hindu Scriptures you will understand the correct
concept of God in Hinduism.
12. WHAT IS HIS NAME ???
“Qulidullahawidurahman ayyammatadu
falahulasmaulhusna”(17:110) Say: Call him
Allah/Rahman. by whichever name you like. To
him belong the Most Beautiful Names.
You can call Allah by any name but that name
should be beautiful and should not conjure up
a mental picture.
13. WHAT IS HIS NAME ???
Islam does not object to anyone calling Almighty God as
‘Khaliq’ or ‘Creator’ or ‘Brahma’, but if someone says that
‘Brahma’ i.e. Almighty God has got 4 heads 4 hands, Islam
takes strong exception to it because such descriptions give an
image to Almighty God. Such descriptions are also against, “Na
tasya pratima asti” (Yajurveda 32:3)
‘Rabb’ or ‘Sustainer’ or ‘Vishnu’, but if someone says Vishnu
has 4 arms, right arms holds the ‘chakra’ i.e. a discus and
left arms holds a ‘conch shell’ and rides on a bird, then
Islam takes strong exception to this, because such descriptions
give an image to Almighty God. (Yajurveda 40:8) “shudhama
poapvidham”
14. NAME ALLAH IS PREFERRED TO “GOD”
Muslims prefer calling Allah, instead of the word ‘God’ which
can be played around with.
If you add ‘s’ to God, it becomes ‘Gods’ that is plural of God.
Allah is one and singular, there is no plural of Allah. If you add
‘dess’ becomes ‘goddess’ i.e. a female God. There is nothing like
male Allah or female Allah. Allah has no gender. If you add
father to God, it becomes ‘godfather’ “godmother” there is
nothing like Allah Ammi or Allah Mother in Islam. Allah is a
unique word, which does not conjure up any mental picture
nor can it be played around with.
Allah is mentioned by Name in Hindu Scriptures in Rigveda Book
2 hymn 1 verse 11, Book 3 hymn 30 verse 10, Book 9 hymn 67
verse 30
There is an Upanishad by the name ALO Upanishad.
16. CASTE SYSTEM IN HINDUISM
Rig Ved (Book 10, Chap 90) “Purusha (Primal Man) divine
being/cosmic giant split up/exploded to create Gods/Universe.
There are 4 main castes into which people are categorized:-
1) Brahmins (At the top):- the priests, scholars, and
philosophers. Evolved from the Head/face of Purusha.
2) Kshatriyas:- warriors, rulers/kings. Come from the arms.
3) Vaishyas:- traders, merchants. from the lap/thighs.
4) Shudras (Untouchables-lowest caste):- laborers/servants
performing unskilled jobs, dealing with dead bodies/cleaning
toilets etc. for the other castes. from the feet of the Purusha.
17. Discrimination/Differentiation:-
Higher-caste people went through cleansing rituals.
Could not draw water from a public well.
Could not enter temples.
Cannot eat in the same room as other caste members.
In 1930, British government made laws to protect the
"Scheduled castes" – untouchables. People like Dr.
Ambedkar & Mahatma Gandhi advocated liberation for
the Dalits, coining the term Harijan or "Children of
God" to describe them.
18. CASTE SYSTEM IN HINDUISM
Caste, determined by birth, cannot be changed.
It dictated your occupation.
Dictated choice of spouse (No inter-marriages)
Doing something outside your caste, could result
in excommunication from your caste.
Exploitation
20. CONCEPT OF PUNARJANAM
Punarjanam or Life after death is mentioned in the
Vedas (Rigved 10: 16: 5) Hindus believe Punarjanam
as the cycle of birth, death and rebirth
Punarjanam:- In Sanskrit Punar means ‘next’ and
Janam means ‘life’. Therefore Punarjanam means next
life or life again.
And in the Qur’an as well, “He gave you life, then he
will cause you to die, And will again bring you to life”.
(Surah Baqarah, 2:28)
It does not mean coming to life again and again.
22. Muhammad (pbuh) prophesied by name in
Bhavishya Purana
Bhavishya Purana PratiSarg Parv 3,Khand 3,Adhay 3,Shloka 5-8

teacher will appear with his companions.(Sahabas) His name
will be Mohammad.” “The pride of mankind, the dweller in
Arabia, He has collected a great force to kill the Devil i.e.
abolish idol worship (Shirk) and all sorts of vices.”
23. Muhammad (pbuh) prophesied by name
as “Ahmed”
Samveda Book II, Hymn 6, Verse 8:-
“Ahmed acquired religious law (Shariah) from his
Lord which is full of wisdom.”
24. Muhammad (pbuh) prophesied by name

Bhavishya Purana

them guidance the well-known Muhammad, is busy
in bringing the ‘Pishachas’ to the right path.
His follower will be a man circumcised, without a
tail (on his head), keeping beard, announcing
Adhan (call for prayer) and will be eating all lawful
things except swine.”
On account of their fighting the irreligious nations,
they will be known as “Musalmans.”
26. Muhammad (pbuh) prophesied in
Bhavishya Purana
Bhavishya Purana, Parv 3 Khand 1 Adhay 3 Shlok 21-
23:
"Corruption and persecution are found in 7 sacred
cities of Kashi, etc. India is inhabited by Rakshas,
Shabor, Bhil and other foolish people. In the land of
Malechhas, the followers of the Malechha dharma
(Islam) are wise and brave people.
All good qualities are found in Musalmans.
Islam will rule in India and its islands.
