The Working Party is independent and acts in an advisory capacity.
It seeks to harmonise the application of data protection rules throughout the EU, and publishes
opinions and recommendations on various data protection topics. It also advises the EU
Commission on the adequacy of data protection standards in non-EU countries.

4. Provide consistency and cooperate with Data Protection Authorities
