This document summarizes an experiment conducted by three students to determine if food contains energy. The experiment used a data logger to measure the energy content and temperature change of different foods, including biscuits, cereal, and candlenuts, when added to water over three trials. The results showed the candlenut had the highest average energy content of 8.652 kJ, while the cereal had the lowest at 1.204 kJ. The discussion addresses the relationship between the measured energy absorbed and the temperature change in water.
