May 2, 2011, I would like to apply for the position of business data analyst at your
esteemed organization.
I have been in the field for over 4 years now, and though most of my work experience has
been in the field of health care, I wish to now switch to business data analysis as that is
where my true passion lies. I am aware that there may be differences in the function of
the two fields, but the basics of data analysis always remain the same. Plus, as you can
see from my educational background, I have been trained in business analysis in college,
which I can implement here. I have thorough experience in developing tables and charts
for the purpose of analysis, advanced Excel features, and the use of SQL.
I am a passionate individual who focuses not just on the quantity of my work, but on the
quality of my work. I believe that completing work just for the sake of it has no value, and
I make an effort to get it right, not just get it over with. I understand that business
