Experience of the MNC culture and the chain of command
Was trained on all the parts of the Meter and Energy systems and Medical Robotics plant where Engineering was
needed.
Was introduced with the production methods and the quality check methods done on PCBs used in the products.
2. 2
Major projects:
Hand gesture recognition system using image processing algorithms. (Simulated on MATLAB).
Recognition of hand gestures to control various applications on the computer such as games, media
player, power point presentation and mouse control. A web cam was used to obtain sequence of images.
Grey Cast Iron classification based in graphite flake distribution. (Simulated on MATLAB)
The project was developed using image processing to obtain the features of the image and a supervised
machine learning algorithm back propagation was used to classify the microstructure images using an
Artificial Neural Network.
Maze solving Robot (Autonomous Robotics)
Technical skills: Microcontrollers(Atmega 16 and 8051), AVR Studio, GCC compiler, Visual Studio,
Other ICs.
The project was aimed in solving a Maze with multiple nodes. Depth first search algorithm was used to
solve the maze. PID, PWM and other algorithms were used to smooth the robot movements.
Map Construction Robot
Technincal Skills: Microcontroller(Atmega 16), Embedded C, RF transceiver interface, MATLAB, GPS
interface.
The Robot was developed to create a 2D map on the computer in the path travelled by it. The Robot was
controlled by the computer.
Optical Character Recognition
A software was developed using MATLAB to recognize the alphabets A to L in an Image and convert
them to into text.
Honors
Team lead of robotics group ‘Illuminators’ which:
Secured 2nd place in National Level Autonomous Robotics Competition conducted by Bits Pilani, K K Birla, Goa
Campus (2012)
The robot was built to solve a maze and find the centre of the longest path in the maze (basically a line follower
robot with intelligence to solve a maze),
Secured 3rd place in National Level Controlled Robotics Competition conducted by Bits Pilani, K K Birla, Goa
Campus (2013)
A remote controlled all terrain robot that had to travel through various obstacles and also should be able to shoot
some cans,
One among the finalists (top 4) of Semi-Autonomous Robotics competition conducted by IIT, Madras (2011).
Competition was based on coordination of a manual robot and an autonomous maze solving robot (Line follower)
with a few more features.
Secured 1st place in state level robotics.
Made a software that identifies singers from non singers based on the signal power energy below 2KHz and 2-
4Khz.
