Dafur Dafur is in Sudan, an  African Nation. 6 million people live there There are 36 different ethnic tribes Most people are Muslim
The History of Dafur Sudan became independent in 1956. Since then, there have been 11 years of peace and 31years of civil war. The current conflict started in 2003 between the Government and 2 rebel groups .
Civil War The Rebels claimed they had suffered year of political, economic and social exclusion. The Government armed another group and carried our air attacks.

The Human Cost? 4.5 million people have been affected The people of Dafur regularly experience killings, looting, rape, abduction, abuse and no basic health care or education. 2 million people are now refugees. Many refugees have fled into Chad, which is also at civil war
