1. The students are introduced with the recipe of the
homemade “dandelion honey”.
2. The students collect the dandelion flowers.
3. According to the recipe the dandelion honey is prepared.
4. The students taste the “dandelion honey”.

The students are able to make the “dandelion honey”.
There is something nice what you can do with all
those dandelions on your lawn .
You can make “dandelion honey”.
Actually that means a dandelion syrup.
Pick 250 – 300 dandelion.
You need the petals only. Therefore
remove all the green parts of stem.
Pour the petals with some water and
leave for 24 hours.
Strain off the petals.
Put the petals into the pot and pour with 1 liter of
water. Add 1 cup of freshly-squeezed lemon juice.
Boil the mixture for 15 – 30 min.
Strain off the petals. Now you have a
decoction of the dandelions.
Put in it 1 kg of sugar.
Boil the mixture. Then reduce the heat
and simmer it for 1 – 2 hours.
Congratulations! You have made the
dandelion syrup or “dandelon honey”.
You can use this syrup with tea instead of sugar.
Dandelion syrup improves your immunity system and
helps suffering with cold and cough.
