The Dalhart Independent School District technology plan from 2010-2013 had four main goals: 1) Enable all students to become technology literate by integrating technology into the curriculum, 2) Improve educators' ability to effectively integrate technology and achieve technology proficiency standards, 3) Provide opportunities for communication and data distribution to encourage community partnerships and parental involvement, and 4) Maintain and update the technology infrastructure to meet the needs of students, faculty, staff, administration, and community. To help achieve these goals, the district planned to utilize E-Rate funding to obtain discounts of 20-90% on eligible telecommunications, internet access, and infrastructure services and equipment.
