Mission StatementThe mission of the Dalhart Independent School District, as a total community instructional system committed to excellence, is to educate students.  Through participation in quality programs, in innovative and challenging educational experiences, and in creative partnerships with the community, students will acquire knowledge and develop self esteem, moral values, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills which will prepare them to become responsible, productive citizens of the 21st century.

Goal : 1DISD will strive to enable all students to become technology literate using electronic networks by integrating technology in the curriculum at all levels.Objective 1.1:  Teachers will provide TEKS based learning experiences for all students using a variety of technologies, promoting active learning.Objective 1.2:  Integrate technology skills into all subject areas to promote student learning.Objective 1.3:  DISD will provide telecommunication tools for use by students, staff, libraries, parents, and the community
Goal: 2Improve educators’ abilities in integrating technology effectively into curriculum, achieving proficiency in SBEC Technology Standards, and encouraging student-centered learning.Objective 2.1:  Staff will continually develop and demonstrate technology skills	Objective 2.2:  DISD will provide opportunities to increase technology skills for educators.	Objective 2.3:  DISD will provide support for technology use by students, staff, and administration.

Objective 4.2:  Review, maintain, & provide appropriate grade-level software that is aligned with TEKS, TAKS, & STAAR & addresses the accessibility of all students based on physical & developmental abilities, & learning needs.	Objective4.3:  Explore & promote opportunities that encourage community use of technology.
