Both union leaders argued that police officers risk their lives every day to keep the city safe and should not be accused of racism.

Seven (1995) follows two detectives hunting a serial killer targeting victims for the seven deadly sins. Gangster Squad (1949) depicts cops battling a ruthless mobster running Los Angeles. The Departed (2006) involves an undercover officer and police mole infiltrating the Irish mafia in Boston, often ending in bloodshed as loyalties are tested. Key conventions include the use of guns, alcohol, tough protagonists, and portraying law enforcement in an imperfect light.
The document provides a reaction paper to the movie "Absence of Malice" which explores the legal issues of defamation and a reporter's privilege against testifying. It summarizes the movie's plot about a reporter publishing stories implicating a man in a murder and alleging a district attorney accepted bribes. It analyzes whether the stories would meet the legal requirements for defamation, including proving falsity and actual malice for public figures. The document also notes reporters do not have special rights to protect sources according to case law. In conclusion, it states the movie aims to illustrate reporter protections and the impact of stories on individuals.

BOLLYWOOD PSYCHO (One of my Spec script)Vasu Gurappa
A Bollywood set designer named Vicky starts killing young actresses after developing a psychological disorder and hatred for women who cheat on their partners, stemming from his mother's illicit relationships after his father's death. Over several years, Vicky is able to kill several models and destroy evidence using clever tactics, while also blackmailing the actresses and their partners. Eventually, a police officer named Johnny is able to capture Vicky, who receives the death sentence. A journalism student named Vidya later interviews Vicky and writes a book about the case titled "BOLLYWOOD PSYCHO".
The document summarizes and analyzes the representation of gender, ethnicity, and young people in the opening of a thriller film. The main male character is a villain driven by love, while the female character is initially portrayed as independent but later becomes a victim. Gender is represented unequally with females shown as weak and males as strong. The film only includes white British actors, so ethnicity is irrelevant. All actors are between 16-17 to show that danger can affect people of any age and teenage life can be difficult with responsibilities.
Our thriller aims to appeal to 15-34 year old males by including violence, dark humor, and sex. The protagonist Pip is an attractive young girl intended to attract fans of that age and gender. Viewers are more likely to support protagonists they find attractive or are sexually attracted to, which builds tension and entertainment. Onscreen violence excites young male viewers as it provides a safe thrill from behind the screen while consciously knowing it's not real. Dark humor and ironic violence are also included as similar past films attracted large male audiences.
The document discusses the target audience for a media product. The primary audience is males aged 15-30 who enjoy crime genres, as the film takes inspiration from movies like "Taxi Driver" and contains violence and references to illegal activities. It would receive a 15 certificate due to the violent content. The film also aims to appeal to older viewers who enjoy classic crime films and younger audiences who like more modern British crime films.
The document discusses preferences for different genres of movies among various age groups. It finds that romantic movies have the broadest appeal across age and gender, with an audience of ages 13 to 55 including both females and males. Romantic films are seen as relaxing entertainment for families and couples to enjoy together. For these reasons, the author decides to focus on producing romantic movies.
This document discusses how different social groups are represented in the media product. It focuses on representation of age, gender, and ethnicity. For age, it notes that the target audience and characters are 15+ teenagers so viewers can relate to them. It shows teenagers smoking and drinking to portray typical behavior but also show consequences. For gender, it represents males as more masculine and dominant through fighting and confrontation scenes, though it challenges conventions by making the male the victim. Females are shown as more vulnerable. For ethnicity, it aims to represent many ethnicities to appeal to diverse audiences, challenging the white-dominated norms of slasher films.
Hate crimes against women in America are often underreported because women are not explicitly listed as a protected class under hate crime laws. However, evidence suggests that some crimes against women are motivated by bias based solely on their gender. Pending legislation would add sex to hate crime categories and require collection of data on gender-motivated crimes. Human trafficking disproportionately impacts women and girls who are targeted for sexual and labor exploitation.

This document analyzes the target audience for a romantic comedy film called "I Can Explain". It identifies the primary target audience as females under 35 of any social class. Secondary audiences include females over 35 and males with girlfriends/wives. Data on film viewing habits support that females are more frequent moviegoers. The film would receive a BBFC 12 rating based on its mild language, references to sex/nudity, romantic themes and lack of violence. A sample target audience member profile is provided. The conclusion restates that the film aims to attract its primary target audience of females under 35 by portraying a modern fairy tale romance.
This document discusses establishing a target audience for a horror film media product. It considers age ratings from the BBFC and determines a 15 rating is most suitable as the film contains threat and horror but no sustained focus on sadistic or sexualized threat. A 12A rating was deemed too limiting. Research showed the target audience is ages 15-25, with both male and female viewers interested in psychological horror, the intended genre of the film.
This document outlines the requirements to obtain a civil protection order (CPO) under D.C. Code Ann. § 16-1001. To be granted a CPO, the petitioner must show they are a victim of violence or threats by a person with whom they share an interpersonal, intimate, or intrafamily relationship or has been a victim of stalking, sexual abuse, or sexual assault by the respondent. The document further specifies who can file for a minor and the statutory relationships and criminal offenses required between the petitioner and respondent.
This document discusses the target audience for drama films and TV shows. It notes that drama films typically focus on in-depth character development dealing with common societal issues like addiction or relationships. Due to themes of psycho-social problems, dramas are usually not suitable for children under 12. TV dramas typically target women ages 17-50 due to romantic storylines, while storylines are simpler to provide distraction from daily life. For darker, more complex films like Shawshank Redemption, the target audience expands to include men ages 17-50 who are interested in protagonists dealing with mental health or substance abuse issues. The document concludes that for a drama with a darker mood exploring emotional issues, the target audience

This document summarizes Chevron's methodology for estimating pore pressure from 3D seismic data using multiple layers and centroid effects. It establishes a normal compaction trend from seismic velocities using Promax minimization. Pore pressures are calculated in Gocad accounting for faults and reservoir geometries. The model is calibrated to well data and reservoir simulations. The 3D volume allows pore pressure extraction anywhere and provides discrete estimates of pore pressure, overburden stress, and fracture gradients across the field.

sedimentation test for soil..Soil MechanicsAbdul Majid
This document provides information on hydrometer analysis for determining soil particle size distribution. It explains that hydrometer analysis is used to measure particles smaller than 0.075mm that pass through a #200 sieve. The process involves dispersing a soil sample in water and taking hydrometer readings at various time intervals as smaller particles settle out of suspension. Calculations based on the hydrometer readings, settling times, and Stokes' Law are used to determine the diameter and distribution of silt and clay sized particles in the sample.
The document describes a framework for advanced 3D centroid modeling calculations using an existing pre-conditioned seismic velocity-based 3D pore pressure volume. Gocad software is used to perform 3D permeability-weighted centroid calculations on mapped horizons, with corrections for dip, in order to provide robust pre-drill pore pressure forecasts. The calculations involve transferring properties from the 3D volume to horizons, correcting for dip, calculating permeability-weighted overpressure using centroid theory equations, and outputting results including centroid pore pressure.
