ASA Advertisement Standards Agency is
the UK’s independent regulator of
advertising across all media. They
act on complaints and proactively
checking the media to take action
against misleading, harmful or
offensive advertisements. As well
as ensuring all Media products, are
legal, decent, honest, and truthful.
This relates to my production
as I will have to look into ASA
guidelines, in terms of legal,
honest and truthfulness. So
that my production isn’t
misleading or doesn’t offend
anyone and meets a standard
to reach out towards the
audience.
CAP Committee AdvertisingPractice isthe
sisterorganisationtothe ASA. Thisis
responsible forwritingthe advertising
codes.It alsoadvisesonhow to create
campaignsthat complywiththe rules.
