- The Nifty closed down 32.75 points at 8,768.30, with maximum call and put OI at 9000 and 8500 strike prices respectively. - Among active contracts, the 8800 call and 8700 put saw additions and reductions of 1.4 lakh open interests respectively from the February expiry. - The India Volatility Index increased 0.82% to 13.50 while the Nifty Put Call Ratio stood at 1.18 for the February contract.

1. Nifty Options - OI Distribution
 The Nifty was down by 32.75 points or 0.37% to
settle at 8,768.30.
 As per the OI data, the maximum OI outstanding
for Calls was at 9000 SP and that for Puts was at
8500 SP. Besides, for trading purpose, one could
Buy NIFTY upto 8760 with SL of 8720 for Target of
8900.
 Nifty February 2017 futures closed at 8785.55 on
Tuesday at a premium of 17.25 points over spot
closing of 8768.30.
 Among Nifty calls, 8800 SP from the February
month expiry was the most active call with an
addition of 1.4 Lakh open interests. Among Nifty
puts, 8700 SP from the February month expiry was
the most active put with a contraction of 1.4 Lakh
open interests.
 Nifty February futures saw a contraction of 2.8
Lakh units, taking the total outstanding open
interest to 2.15 Cr. units.
 Among most active underlying, Punjab National
Bank witnessed an addition of 40.3 Lakh units of
Open Interest in the February month futures
contract, followed by Bharat Heavy Electricals
witnessing an addition of 12.9 Lakh units of Open
Interest in the February month contract, ITC
witnessed an addition of 11.8 Lakh units of Open
Interest in the February month contract.
 The top gainers on Nifty were BHEL up by 5.07%,
BPCL up by 1.74%, Larsen & Toubro up by 1.20%,
Infosys up by 1.06% and Bank of Baroda up by
1.03%.
 On the flip side, Tata Motors down by 3.57%, Tata
Motors - DVR down by 3.41%, ONGC down by
2.71%, Coal India down by 2.32% and Hindalco
down by 1.95% were the top losers.

2. Derivative Strategy Pay- Off Chart
 The India Volatility Index increased by 0.82% and
reached 13.50.
 The Nifty Put Call Ratio (PCR) finally stood at 1.18 for
February month contract.
 The top five scrips with highest PCR on OI were Sun
TV Network (2.19), Oracle Financial Services Software
(2.00), Bharti Airtel (1.30), Maruti Suzuki India (1.30)
and IDEA (1.15).
