We came to the area in 863 CE from Thessaloniki, Greece as priests to spread Slavic religion and establish the first Slavic alphabet, called Hlaholice. We taught the local language and led evangelization efforts, bringing the Christian faith and procuring Old Slavic as the language of worship. We are celebrated for introducing Christianity and our arrival is now a national holiday in the Czech Republic.
