Embedded System Practicum Module for Increase Student Comprehension of Microc...TELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
The result of applying the embedded system in education for students is successfully applied in
university. On the other side, many people in Indonesia use smart equipment’s (Hand phone, Remote), but
none of those equipments are used in education. University as the source of knowledge should overcome
the problem by encouraging the students to use a technology with learning about it first. Embedded
System Practicum Module Design needs a prototype method so that the practicum module that is desired
can be made. This method is often used in real life. A prototype considered of a part of a product that
expresses logic and physical of external interface that is being displayed and this method will fully depend
on user contentment. Embedded System Practicum Module Design is made to increase student
comprehension of embedded system course and to encourage students to innovate, so that many
technologies will be developed and also to help lecturers deliver course subjects. With this practicum it is
hoped that the student comprehension will increase significantly. The result of this research is a decent
practicum module, hardware or software that can help students to know better about technology and the
course subjects so that it will encourage the students to create an embedded system technology. The
result of the test has been done; there is an increase of learning value obtained by 7.8%.
Selection of Learning Materials Based on Students’ Behaviors in 3DMUVLETELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
Learning in 3-dimensional virtual environments has been widely used as a complement to traditional learning. Multi User Virtual Learning Environment in 3 Dimensions (3DMUVLE) provides many benefits and can support lifelong learning. In its implementation, this learning has not supported personal learning. This study aims to build a 3DMUVLE with personalized materials based on students' models. The system development model uses the Linear Sequence model by integrating MOODLE, SLOODLE and OPENSIM. Student's model in this research is Myer Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and determination of type uses fuzzy logic. The results of this study are 16 types of students and each type consists of 3 levels: low, medium and high. Each level has a specific learning material. The implication of this research is the level of MBTI type so that the learning material is more specific.
P-D controller computer vision and robotics integration based for student’s p...TELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
The 21st-century skills needed to face the speed of understanding technology. Such as critical thinking in computer vision and robotics literacy, any student is hampered by the programming that is considered complicated. This study aims at the improvement of student embedded system programming competency with computer vision and mobile robotics integration approach. This method is proposed to attract the students to learn about embedded system programming by delivering integration between computer vision and robotics using the P-D controller since both of the fields are closely related. In this paper, the researcher described computer vision programming to get the data of captured images through the camera stream and then delivered the data into an embedded system to make the decision of robot movement. The output of this study is the improvement of a student’s ability to make an application to integrate a sensor system using a camera and the mobile robot running follow the line. The result of the test shows that the integration method between computer vision and robotics can improve the student’s programming comprehension by 40%. Based on the Feasibility test survey, it can be interpreted that from the whole assessment after being converted to qualitative data, all aspects of the learning stages of programming application tested with the integration of computer vision and robotics fall into the very feasible category for used with a percentage of feasibility by 77.44%.

An educational bluetooth quizzing application in androidijwmn
Bluetooth is one of the most prevalent technologies available on mobile phones. One of the key questions
how to harness this technology in an educational manner in universities and schools. This paper is about a
Bluetooth quizzing system which will be used to administer quizzes to students of a university. The
Bluetooth quizzing application consists of a server and client mobile Android application. It will utilize a
queuing system to allow many clients to connect simultaneously to the server. When clients connect, they
can register or choose the option to complete a quiz that the lecturer selected. Results are automatically
sent when quiz is done from the client application. Data analysis can then be done to review the progress of
students.
City i-Tick: The android based mobile application for students’ attendance at...journalBEEI
This paper presents City i-Tick, the android based mobile application for students’ attendance at a university. In this study, we developed mobile application for lecturers to take students’ attendance in City University, Petaling Jaya. Managing students’ attendance during lecture periods has become a difficult challenge. The research objectives for this study are to identify user requirement for City i-Tick, to design and develop City i-Tick, and to demonstrate the prototype of City i-Tick. The study is a narrative participatory design and exploits Design Thinking as the research methodology. City i-Tick was successfully validated by 14 lecturers and System Usability Scale (SUS) was used to determine the findings of the study. We found that City i-Tick is effective for lecturers in taking attendance because it is easy to use, easy to learn, and the users feel confident when using this application.
Development of E-learning Software Based Multiplatform ComponentsjournalBEEI
E-learning software is a product of information and communication technology used to help dynamic and flexible learning process between teacher and student. The software technology was first used in the development of e-learning software in the form of web applications. The advantages of this technology because of the ease in the development, installation, and distribution of data. Along with advances in mobile/wireless electronics technology, e-learning software is adapted to this technology known as mobile learning. The ability of this electronic device is the same as a single computer even though it is simpler than a single computer. The problem that arises when e-learning software operates on multiple platforms is that computer programs are made repeatedly depending on the platform being used. This situation will obviously affect the quality of e-learning software. To overcome these problems, in this study developed component-based software that is a modern paradigm for software development that produces reusable software components, high quality, and cost-effective. In software development, software components will be assembled in the software in need. The result of this research is high quality e-learning software based multiplatform component.
My career has been focused on high impact research, practice and education in Network Security (Password system) starting with my doctoral thesis. Effective Network Security (Password system) requires science, engineering, business, policy and people skills. My goal is to instill this culture in the discipline and provide leadership in all elements.
Predicting depression using deep learning and ensemble algorithms on raw twit...IJECEIAES
Social network and microblogging sites such as Twitter are widespread amongst all generations nowadays where people connect and share their feelings, emotions, pursuits etc. Depression, one of the most common mental disorder, is an acute state of sadness where person loses interest in all activities. If not treated immediately this can result in dire consequences such as death. In this era of virtual world, people are more comfortable in expressing their emotions in such sites as they have become a part and parcel of everyday lives. The research put forth thus, employs machine learning classifiers on the twitter data set to detect if a person’s tweet indicates any sign of depression or not.

Project
(June 2009 –
May 2010)
Solar energy is one of the major alternatives for energy
sources. But it is required to make full use of solar
energy as it is scattered everywhere and a solar
tracker is a device onto which solar panels are fitted
which tracks the motion of the sun across the sky
ensuring that the maximum amount of sunlight strikes
the panels throughout the day. A good solar tracker
can typically lead to an increase in electricity
generation capacity of 30-50%.

Academic
Project
In most of the signal processing operations various
assumptions are made about signals or data to be
processed. Some assumptions about signals are so
widely and commonly used that they are almost
considered as absolute truths. Most of the time signals
are assumed to be stationary or the noise is Additive
White Gaussian Noise to make calculations easier. But
any departure from above assumptions might affect on
level of reliability of estimates. Hence in this project
Gaussianity of signals is quantified using Kolmogorov-
Smirnov one sample test and stationarity of signals is
analyzed from stationarity length point of view using K-
S two sample test. First computer generated random
data are considered and then ambient noise signals
recorded in the coastal area of Goa are considered for
analysis.
