- As a member of EURIPA (WONCA Europe) working group research in mulrimorbid pathology in
rural family medicine.
-Research in prevention and screening among Ukrainian population
- Research on the development of family medicine in post-Soviet countries and the ways to overcome
family medicine crisis in Ukraine.
-Research in interfamilial clustering and transmission of different strains of H.pylori infection as
one of the major routes for it acquisition.
- Research of infection prevalence among family and household members in Transcpathean region.
- Research in frequency of Hp-associated digestive disorders and on iron insufficiency among
relatives of the index-patients with chronic gastritis and duodenal ulcer.

8. Please provide a brief statement indicating your leadership potential
My practice as a Family Doctor and as a Trainer of Family Doctors has started from the zero point
of this new for our country branch of medicine more then 11 years ago. Since that time, the Family
Medicine practice due to my activities in the clinic of Family Medicine of our town became very
popular among the residents of my town. Our clinic patronizes more then 15 thousand people of
every age. Besides, due to my activities it became a Training Centre for the Family Doctors. As
Family Medicine in our country is on the stage of stagnation now, our clinic became a sole unit
advertising the idea of FM all over the region and we do our best to speed up it’s activities.
As a Head of a group of residents, I’ve started the scientific research about development of Family
Medicine in post-soviet countries in which I am trying to show the ways to overcome the Family
Medicine crisis in Ukraine. Under my supervision, 6 scientific researches of young specialists have
been carried out and have been presented at the faculty meeting.

7. My 4 books in family medicine published for residents and family doctors became bestsellers in the
region.
I have developed the record form for children in family practice and have published them from my
own savings
We are trying to use the experience of activities held in our clinic as a pattern of a new organised
system of primary care. To support this activity my wife and I became the founders of the Charitable
foundation “Family” which has been launched in 2005. Besides, we’ve created a web site of our
organization: http://cffamilyen.wordpress.com/ )
Today I am doing my best to help in expanding the experience of the Family Clinic where I work,
By fund rising from our partners, sponsors and volunteers we are planning to create the best
diagnostic and training centre in FM practice in our region and to show how to create the new
model of self-organized primary health care system.
In 2011 I was elected a President of “Uzhgorod (Ukraine) - Corvallis (USA) Sister City Association”
In November 2011 at our initiative and according to prior agreement between the Sister Cities
Association and our Charitable Foundation "Family" the American humanitarian aid (cost 112
thousand US dollars) has been received and spread among low income people of our town. Some of
the equipment received from our partners worth 30 thousand U.S dollars is unique and will be used
for primary medical care of our town, and will certainly help in restoring the health of many patients
of our Family Clinic.
In 2013 the Training Center of Family Medicine was opened in the Postgraduate Institute. I became
a head of the Training center for training of FM residents and doctors on retraining courses.
In 2014 I became a member of EURIPA (WONCA Europe)as well as EURACT (WONCA Europe)
working in the group on research in mulrimorbid pathology in rural family medicine.
