Front of House Manager April 16 to Date
 I joined during the refurbishment of the business following the purchase by new management and
set up working procedures including various risk assessments.
 Currently responsible for all front of house staff including; recruitment, training, rotas, holidays,
wages and standards both personal and working.
 The implementation of cleaning rotas and duties and ensuring the standards are maintained and
upheld throughout the kitchen and restaurant. Organisation of repairs and maintenance as
required.
 Work with the kitchen to provide an insight into customer preferences and feedback, feeding into
daily/weekly specials and menus/promotions to maximise revenue.
 Liaise with the owners, keep them updated on activity, sales figures and overall business.

I returned to The Beech Inn after establishing the Orange Tree
 Management of all day to day activities such as; staff, rotas, ordering, stocktakes, cleaning,
customer service, deliveries, tills and banking.
 Refurbished the snug and back room creating a different ‘feel’ in each room to reflect the
diverse customer base.
 Trained the bar supervisor in line cleaning and cellar management and set up new waste
recording and stocktaking procedures. Prepared the accounts for the accountant.

2. The Orange Tree
Licensee July 14 to June 15
A venture in partnership with the owner of The Beech Inn
 Project management of the refurbishment of the pub and launch.
 Oversight and responsibility for all day to day workings including; staffing, cash flow,
deliveries, stock control, cellar management and customer service.
 Re-established the customer base following a lengthy closure.
 Introduced a good drinks selection with locally brewed beers, craft ales, a varied wine
selection and premium spirits.
 Established the cellar, set up stillages and organised best ways of working.

 Managed the day to day running of a busy pub, staff, rotas, ordering, stocktakes, tills and
banking.
 Event organisation as an individual Inn and in collaboration with local business’ and the
council.
 Oversaw the refurbishment of the entire pub.
 Cellar management producing high quality beer, which I got us recognised for in the Camra Good
Beer Guide.
 Recruited of new staff and development of a strong team with knowledge and enthusiasm for the
products and pub.
Secure Options Ltd
Area Sales Manager January 12 to April 12
 Managed a varied portfolio of clients looking after their security issues and upgrades.
 Dealt with scrap yards to ensure they were up to the new legislation coming in to force.
 Designed bespoke systems using new equipment for remote sites for National Grid to secure their
sites whilst they replaced electrical pylons.
ADT Fire and Security PLC
National Account Manager March 11 to September 11
 Responsible for several high street retailers’ security needs.
 Implemented the Beaverbrooks signalling project which saw the whole estate transferred from
Redcare to IP signalling, this was a key project for the customer, being a high value retailer the
Intruder systems and robustness of the system is paramount to their business.
 Built credibility and relationships with all departments within ADT to ensure all aspects of the
contract were dealt with correctly and smoothly.
 Quickly gained knowledge of the electronic tagging systems, which enabled me to develop the
customer’s systems so that they were able to use them to their full potential.
Swift Fire and Security
National Account Manager October 09 to February 11
 Responsibility for 150 Marks & Spencer stores in the East division.
 Ensuring all contract KPI’s are adhered to, fault calls attended and repaired within the correct
deadlines.
 I successfully reduced contract penalties and increased engineers’ knowledge.
 The compilation of tenders for developments and upgrades of systems.

3.  I significantly developed the contract within Swift Fire and Security via training, up-skilling
engineers’ knowledge and personal expertise.

 As an Area Sales Surveyor I was responsible for introducing new customers and developing
existing customer relations.
 All new systems and additions were installed to industry standards and customer expectations.
Faber Maunsell
Principal Engineer November 07 to October 08
 Responsibility for effectively controlling the commercial, managerial and technical aspects of the
projects. Project scales range from a minimum of £100K to £5 million plus.
 End to end delivery of projects from design through to implementation. All projects have a 100%
success rate of projects delivered within agreed time scales and budget.
 Responded to direct and indirect tender queries.
 High levels of client satisfaction also ensured repeat business.
 Lead designer for the M&S contract. Projects included the design of intruder systems, CCTV and
Access systems for both re-developments and new builds across the UK.
 Quickly and effectively established relationships with internal contractors and key stakeholders.
Romec Electronic Security
Design Estimator May 03 to July 07
 Strong business relationships built with customers and appropriate contact maintained with key
clients.
 Liaised with electrical contractors and security consultants, to ensure deadlines were achieved
and all regulations met.
 The role also involved the design of new CCTV, Intruder, Access and EMS systems.
 Successes have included, proactively identifying and presenting maintenance contract leads to
the company project design and completion for a Post Office cash handling site, which enabled it
to have its bond status reinstated with the bank of England.
 The design of CCTV, Intruder and Access for the Life Store in Gateshead which was worth in excess
of £250,000. The security overhaul for M&S's flagship store for the new home stores and the
security from scratch.
