Position- Assistant Communications Officer
Major Responsibilities
 To assist the communications team in providing timely and excellent resource for World
Vision support offices, increase the in-country and international awareness about World
Vision Zambia and provide required communications resource to the advocacy
department.
 To collect and compile information to facilitate production of World Vision Zambia
publications for local and international publics to create awareness and increase
understanding of World Vision Zambia’s work.
 To ensure provision of an updated media list meant to facilitate press coverage of World
Vision and strengthen existing relationships and build new strategic relationships with
key national and international media to help promote and protect the public image and
ministry of World Vision Zambia.
 To assist in data collection and verification meant to facilitate creating awareness among
staff by providing factual, accurate and timely information on World Vision Zambia’s
activities and strategic developments
 To capture passport size photos of World Vision Zambia staff and facilitate production of
identity cards
 Compile monthly requests from the advocacy department and ensure activities needing
communications supports are well listed monthly.
 To spearhead events and ensure that all the materials are available and the media is
engaged in covering such events.
