Personal Statement 
I am a seasoned Human Resource practitioner and Maritime Executive who has been involved 
at Senior Management level in the NCG. A firm believer in life long learning, I am actively 
involved in training need analysis for the Squadron which is a highly specialized unit of the 
NCG. During my tenure in the NCG , I have had a wide international exposures for having 
travelled to a number of countries such as India, Seychelles, Australia South Africa, Kenya, 
France, Germany, USA, Argentina and Chile.

Work History 
 Since 2010, I am the Commanding Officer of CGS Retriever and CGS Vigilant. I 
am also the Squadron Training Officer and Staff Officer (Administration). In 
addition, I also officiate as Squadron Commander NO 1 PVS. 
 In 2009, I was appointed as Division Commander for the Western area. I had the 
responsibility of Four NCG posts with total personnel of 125 and various sea 
assets worth several millions of rupees. I implemented several strategies for 
improving the performance of this area which was well recognized at higher level. 
 In 2008, I was appointed as the Training Coordinator of the Marine Training 
Establishment. I was instrumental in preparing and running several courses for 
NCG officers. 
 In 2001, I was designated Commanding Officer of CGS Rescuer. As 
Commanding Officer, I had the responsibility of the safety of the ship which

worth several millions rupees and her crew. I have to lead my crew towards 
various missions’ accomplishment. 
 Joined the service in 1986 as a constable. Was promoted to the Rank of Police 
Sergeant in1993 and to the Rank of Police Inspector in 2001 after clearing the 
qualifying examinations.
