Art 120 - Sculptural Design. Extension of design into three-dimensional concepts and media. Focuses
on the study of volume and spatial relationships through modeling, casting, carving and construction.
Includes elements of color, texture and line as applied to three-dimensional design.
PH132 – Photography in Public Places. Students will meet in a public area and be taught what to look
for, plus methods and timing on how to approach a person or subject. Students will learn how to their
hone senses, gain insight and an understanding of their photographing environment as well as learn to
challenge their fears and overcome them. Students will learn the importance of good composition and
content as well.
Understanding Great Photographs and Photographers. This course will investigate the importance
of certain photographers and photographs and why they are classics. We will look at landscapes,
abstracts, photojournalism, straight shooting, and studio photographers and their work.
CR553 – Building Stretcher Bars and Stretching Canvas. Students will learn how to properly cut wood,
along with nailing and gluing techniques in order to construct their own stretcher bars and stretch their
own canvases. Learning these techniques will save students hundreds of dollars on custom made
canvas. Students need to purchase their own canvas stretching pliers.
AR524 - Industrial College. Working in the footsteps of the great collage masters, this workshop will
investigate materials such as metals, wood, papers and many other products. Students will learn to drill
and rivet, nail, screw, and glue to produce their master piece.
AR525 - Sculpture in a Box. Using plaster, found objects, and any other assortment of items, produce
artworks in ready-made boxes in the likeness of Cornel and Arman.
CR204 – Oil Based Clay. Learn the secrets of producing your own oil based clay in this one (1) to two
(2) day intensive hands on workshop. Creating your own clay will save you hundreds of dollars. Clay
will be divided in amounts according to attendance.
AR 048 – Art Forum. Art Forum meets for three hours per week for three, three week sessions. Art
Forum is a moderated open discussion and lecture series starting with the Dadaist and Duchamp, moving
through Surrealism and Fluxus and then ending with Pop-Surrealism and Lowbrow.
AR627 - Intuitive Drawing. Students learn intuitive line drawing using charcoal sticks, graphite sticks,
caulk and other drawing tools. Explore physical and mental expressionistic processes while learning to
release emotion and energy during the activity of drawing. Several intuitive methods and expressive
techniques will be investigated.
AR332 – Expressive Painting. Educating students in the use of painting tools, intuitive methods,
expressive techniques, historical background, and terminology.
AR733 – Beginning Mold Making, consisting of open face, two part, and facial life cast molds.
Discussions about historical information, strength and weaknesses of each product and system, and
safety
procedures.
AR734 – Advanced Mold Making, consisting of multi-section molds, molds with sprues and venting
systems build in, and blanket molds. Discussions about historical information, strength and weaknesses
of each product and system, and safety procedures.
AR735 – Sculpting in Plaster. Educating students in the properties of plaster as a sculpting medium.
Students learn of proper tool use, terminology, and expressive techniques.
AR736 – Clay Sculpture. Students learn control and manipulation of clay through the use of tools, touch,
and learning to feel the model by using their eyes.
AR737 - Hot Products: Mold Making Workshop. Students learn to use three products that are not only
heated, but are reusable which makes them a good investment for the casting process. The products are
Seals Peel, Prosthetic Wax and Moulage. The following types of molds will be examined: blanket mold,
open face and two part molds.
AR738 - Life Casting. Students learn basic techniques and supplies necessary for life casting in this
advanced workshop. Casting is preformed on live models, so there is the possibility of nudity.
AR739 - Wire Sculpture. Students learn basic wire techniques such as wire joining, knotting buttressing,
shaping and armature design.
DY405 – Hand Tools for Women. This is an introductory class on basic hand tools, their usage and
safety methods.
DY406 – Power Tools for Women. This is an introductory class on the properties of power tools.
Terminology, proper use, care, and safety are edict of this class.

Extension of design into three-dimensional concepts and media. Focuses on the study of volume and spatial relationships through modeling, casting, carving and construction. Includes elements of color, texture and line as applied to three-dimensional design. PH132 – Photography in Public Places. Students will meet in a public area and be taught what to look for, plus methods and timing on how to approach a person or subject. Students will learn how to their hone senses, gain insight and an understanding of their photographing environment as well as learn to challenge their fears and overcome them. Students will learn the importance of good composition and content as well. Understanding Great Photographs and Photographers. This course will investigate the importance of certain photographers and photographs and why they are classics. We will look at landscapes, abstracts, photojournalism, straight shooting, and studio photographers and their work. CR553 – Building Stretcher Bars and Stretching Canvas. Students will learn how to properly cut wood, along with nailing and gluing techniques in order to construct their own stretcher bars and stretch their own canvases. Learning these techniques will save students hundreds of dollars on custom made canvas. Students need to purchase their own canvas stretching pliers. AR524 - Industrial College. Working in the footsteps of the great collage masters, this workshop will investigate materials such as metals, wood, papers and many other products. Students will learn to drill and rivet, nail, screw, and glue to produce their master piece. AR525 - Sculpture in a Box. Using plaster, found objects, and any other assortment of items, produce artworks in ready-made boxes in the likeness of Cornel and Arman.

    CR204 – OilBased Clay. Learn the secrets of producing your own oil based clay in this one (1) to two (2) day intensive hands on workshop. Creating your own clay will save you hundreds of dollars. Clay will be divided in amounts according to attendance. AR 048 – Art Forum. Art Forum meets for three hours per week for three, three week sessions. Art Forum is a moderated open discussion and lecture series starting with the Dadaist and Duchamp, moving through Surrealism and Fluxus and then ending with Pop-Surrealism and Lowbrow. AR627 - Intuitive Drawing. Students learn intuitive line drawing using charcoal sticks, graphite sticks, caulk and other drawing tools. Explore physical and mental expressionistic processes while learning to release emotion and energy during the activity of drawing. Several intuitive methods and expressive techniques will be investigated. AR332 – Expressive Painting. Educating students in the use of painting tools, intuitive methods, expressive techniques, historical background, and terminology. AR733 – Beginning Mold Making, consisting of open face, two part, and facial life cast molds. Discussions about historical information, strength and weaknesses of each product and system, and safety procedures. AR734 – Advanced Mold Making, consisting of multi-section molds, molds with sprues and venting systems build in, and blanket molds. Discussions about historical information, strength and weaknesses of each product and system, and safety procedures. AR735 – Sculpting in Plaster. Educating students in the properties of plaster as a sculpting medium. Students learn of proper tool use, terminology, and expressive techniques. AR736 – Clay Sculpture. Students learn control and manipulation of clay through the use of tools, touch, and learning to feel the model by using their eyes. AR737 - Hot Products: Mold Making Workshop. Students learn to use three products that are not only heated, but are reusable which makes them a good investment for the casting process. The products are Seals Peel, Prosthetic Wax and Moulage. The following types of molds will be examined: blanket mold, open face and two part molds. AR738 - Life Casting. Students learn basic techniques and supplies necessary for life casting in this advanced workshop. Casting is preformed on live models, so there is the possibility of nudity. AR739 - Wire Sculpture. Students learn basic wire techniques such as wire joining, knotting buttressing, shaping and armature design. DY405 – Hand Tools for Women. This is an introductory class on basic hand tools, their usage and safety methods. DY406 – Power Tools for Women. This is an introductory class on the properties of power tools. Terminology, proper use, care, and safety are edict of this class.
