2. At present the 25th of May is a
national holiday. There are
parades and marches in the
streets.
3. People eat typical meals like locro
(a stew with ‘chorizo’, meat
,vegetables and potatoes) and sweet
things like pastelitos criollos (pastries
with ‘dulce de membrillo’.
4. People wear blue and white rosettes
on their chests during the May week.
