Personal Statement
I am a motivated person who enjoys working in a pressured environment, whilst completing tasks to a high standard.
I am lively and energetic with an attitude to succeed. I enjoy working within a team, but also have the ability to complete
tasks on my own. I am easily approachable, outgoing and a hardworking individual, who takes pride in having great
customer relationships whilst satisfying the needs of the business.
Employment History
Lionbridge: Project Manager July 2009 - Present
Currently working as a Project Manager on the BAE Systems Type 26 Global Combat Ship contract, managing the
technical publications for maintenance activities and training.
Following promotion to Project Manager, I have successfully managed various aero-engine projects (including TP400,
Adour, EJ200 and Gem), gaining an extensive knowledge of the Rolls-Royce contract and the products and services
within it.
Main duties:
Delivery management, measured against Key Point Indicators (KPI’s), to time cost and quality.
Responsible for quality management and implementing preventative and corrective actions.
Resource management and recruitment.
Financial control, generating quotations, invoicing and bid support.
Export control, for contractual and commercial purposes.
Ensuring good customer relations.
Risk management and process improvement.
Preparation for audits.
Project planning, monitoring and reporting progress to internal managers and external customers.
Piper Group/BAE Systems/Lionbridge: Technical Author August 2006 – July 2009
I began working with Piper Group as a Trainee Technical Author on the Rolls-Royce aero engine contract as part of a two
year apprenticeship involving day release at City of Bristol College, studying Operations and Maintenance Engineering.
Following the successful completion of an on-the-job training log, and achieving a Distinction/Merit grade in college, I
qualified as a Technical Author in August 2008.
Authoring in XML, SGML and hard copy for Rolls-Royce projects including Adour, RB199, Pegasus and Gem, writing to
S1000D, ATA100 and AvP70 standards across all maintenance levels.
Key Achievements:
Project Manager for Rolls-Royce TP400 aero-engine contract.
Project Manager of Rolls-Royce Legacy Data Conversion £1.5 million Purchase Order, with a profitability rate of 29%.
Project Manager of Rolls-Royce Adour, Viper and Pegasus Projects running at 99% or above Rolls-Royce QA score.
Responsible for Rolls-Royce apprentice training, generating multiple KPI’s.
Lean Six Sigma yellow belt achieved, principles implemented.
Responsible for the successful implementation and management of a customer monitored query management system.
