WORK EXPERIENCES
February 2012-
Present
: Junior Agronomist, Cambodia HARVEST Program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As a horticulture field supervisor based in Pursat, I have
worked closely with senior agronomist in several aspects;
namely, technical support, field supervision, and report.
To assisted in developing training and promotion
materials to introduce and promote new vegetable
farming practices to farmers. In process, I reviewed
new findings from the literature, new research
reports and consulted with technical expert and I
simplify the technical content into simple messages
which can be understandable and applicable for
less-educated farmers.
Providing technical assistance, training course to
Horticulture Commercial, Home Gardening in
agricultural management and conservation practice
in order to develop their living standard by linking
with input suppliers and marketing (Agribusiness
Value Chain).
To coordinate and facilitate local non-government
organizations as partnership. In field supervision as
3. well, I help field technicians and provincial deputy of
agriculture staffs to achieve targeted clients. In
process, I review their weekly work plan, follow up
field performance in order to collect village’s issues
and generate HARVEST’s technical approaches,
then, to provide technical support to field technicians
and leave them recommendation letter as daily, do
reflection, quick feedback, and creating strategic
plan by conducting meeting twice a month. Lastly, to
conduct field technical evaluation and submit to
senior agronomist in quarterly term.
I work with the M&E team to contribute to the
monitoring and evaluation process. In process, I
entry technical assistant, group training, and field
day data into monitoring system; called CIRIS,
review and checking in monitoring system regularly
twice month about number of technical assistant
activities and client info were updated timely and
properly, then alert to provincial coordinator and field
technician.

February 2012
: Agriculture Program Officer, HEKS Cambodia, Swiss

Duties and Responsibilities:
To design and support agricultural extension programs for
partner NGOs. Develop curriculum and training content for
farmer groups. The training method was participatory
approach where participants are encouraged to share
experiences and knowledge and facilitator and resource
persons provide new knowledge based on current
knowledge of farmers/participants. The content of training
was on selection of suitable rice varieties for farmers’ fields,
proper uses of fertilizer, pest control by IPM method and
proper uses of pesticides.
March 2010 to
February 2011
: Technical officer, The Peri-Urban Agriculture Center
(PUAC)
Duties and Responsibilities:
To conduct research on variety testing and new production
techniques; seedling production, mulching, improve soil pH
by using lime, net use to improve off season vegetable
production, pest control in vegetable production. Provide
trainings and technical service to farmers and support in
marketing aspects to farmers such as setting a place for
gathering farmers’ products and connect to markets.
