Listening
• I sat in on many meetings during
my time here, listening was a good
skill I developed
• Every morning my team of co-
workers had this meeting called
“What’s Up” where would share
metrics, priorities and roadblocks
this involved lots of listening
Using Technology and computer
programs
• 90% of my work was done using my
computer
• Specific programs used were;
Excel, Outlook, and Google Chrome

Contributed to a Project
• As stated earlier, I worked on 3
main projects
• Help to prospect potential
accounts, created a new filing
system for my supervisor,
analyzed competitors shared
my findings
Worked as a part of a team
• With the prospecting project I
was working as a team
• My job was to get contact
information for my co-workers’
later use. We all were working
as a team to reach a common
goal

MANAGEMENT
Self-Esteem and Confidence
• I have gained more self-esteem from
simply being in this white collar work
place. Getting up, grabbing my briefcase
and heading to the office brought me
excitement because it made me feel as if
I was actually a businessman
• I gained confidence from participating in
our daily “What’s Up” meetings, and
presenting my other assignments to
others
Initiative
• I developed initiative through my work on
the projects. I realized that I understood
the material I was given well enough to
go above and beyond what I was
assigned to do. Things such as adding
graphs and pie charts where appropriate
• I also developed initiative by taking the
early bus route to get to work just in
case the was rush hour traffic
LOOKING BACK – WHAT DID I ENJOY?
 Dressing like a white collar employee
 Sitting in on meetings and observing the
business (Operations etc.)
 Taking trips off-site to discuss work with
potential clients
LOOKING BACK – WHAT DID I DISLIKE?
 Early mornings
 Having nothing to do sometimes
 The long hours
WHAT HAVE I TAKEN FROM THIS EXPERIENCE?
 This experience has taught me that the
business environment is very diverse. There
are many sectors that must perform their due
diligence in order for the whole organization
to not only survive but thrive

 Made cold-calls to foreign organizations in Indiana to get contact information for future use
 Presented progressions to co-workers during weekly sales meetings
 Travelled off-site with a co-worker to a client’s location to discuss operations
April 2015 – Present: Team Accountant,
Team 3161 – Tronic Titans (Robotics Club), Oakville, ON
 Entered financial transactions into the team’s accounting system to keep track of expenses and receipts
 Prepared financial statements to properly manage the money coming in and going out of the team
 Contributed ideas to the team’s annual business plans

 Assisted a grade 9 student in understanding the 9th grade mathematics curriculum
