The Cal State San Marcos Meeting and Event Planning Certificate program teaches the practical skills needed for a career in event planning. The six-month program includes six core classes on topics like logistics, food and beverage, budgets, and legal issues, as well as three career perspective courses that explore areas like trade shows, special events, and audiovisual technology. Students who complete the core classes and career perspectives, plus a final project, will earn a Certificate of Completion. Courses are offered on Saturdays at both the San Marcos and Temecula campuses.
