About Us
Michael Herrera is the lead program and concept designer
Over the years, Michael helped develop and lead marketing and communications programs for some of the most innovative
companies of the past few decades, including tech giants Qwest Communications, HP and SAP where he helped launch entire
business units, provided M&A guidance and provided strategic counsel to the C-suites. On the smaller side, He’s helped launch
and establish many start-ups and fast growing companies in the software, hardware and services industries.
Along the way, Michael held senior positions as part of larger marketing and communications teams at some of the largest PR
shops, including Burson-Marsteller Public Relations and Ogilvy Public Relations. Most recently, he was a founding partner of the
Halo Agency, a boutique, marketing agency for start-ups and early stage tech companies.
Michael and his family reside in the Mile High City – Denver, Colorado, where he writes and plays music when he’s not on his
road bike attacking the nearby mountain passes.
Ted Chamberlin, Principal Advisor & Analyst
Ted is the principal advisor & analyst for Custom Shop Strategies, a role that brings together his nearly 25 years of experience in and around the technology
industry.
at Gartner Research, the largest and most influential IT industry analyst firm. While at Gartner, Ted wrote many of tech industry’s go-to research reports on
managed hosted services, cloud-based technology and the “as-a-service” market (anything else we need to add) and spoke to literally thousands of companies –
from startups to Fortune 10 global brands – that relied on his expertise to guide their strategic directions and IT decisions.
After Gartner, Ted held a senior product marketing roles in the Cloud Networking Group at Citrix, where he ran product marketing the Branch Repeater and
Cloud Bridge products. Ted was the VP of Cloud Market Development at Coresite, where developed their Cloud go to market strategy and partnerships including
the development of a Cloud services exchange with partners like AWS, Microsoft and TW Telecom
Ted lives with his family at the foot of the mountains in Boulder, Colorado, where he takes full advantage of the outdoor lifestyle from the saddle of his road bike
and keeps close watch on the New York Rangers and University of Denver hockey teams.
