Corporate social responsibility of business is
to pursue those policies, to make those
decision or to follow those line of action,
which are desirable in terms of the objective
and values of our society.
MEANING
Social responsibility of a corporation
means obligation to act in a manner
which will serve the best interest of the
society. It is based on the assumption
that what is good for the society is also
good for the business.
PERSPECTIVES OF CSR
1)Traditional corporate phelosphy,ie charity for socio-
cultural and religious purpose.
2)Corporate social responsibility, with focus on
stakeholder’s interest and sustainable development.
3)Ethical business based on social value and the
stakeholder ‘s long term interest.
Responsibility towards owners
 To ensure safety of fund
 To strengthen the financial position of company for
the propose of capital aspiration
 To keep the owner well informed about the progress
and financial position of the company
 To ensure fair and regular return on investment
 To safeguard the asset of the company
 To protect the interest of all type of inverstor in the
business

employees
 To pay reasonable wages and salary
 To provide good working condition
 To provide service benefits as housing and
medical facilities, insurance cover etc.
 To maintain better human relation
 To recognize workers right
 To provide adequate training and

 To produce goods which meets consumer needs
 To provide goods at reasonable price
 To provide prompt and adequate service to the
consumers
 To handle the consumers complaints quickly and
carefully
