3. TERMS.
Exchange
An exchange is used for depositing, changing and withdrawing cryptocurrencies.
We have used Binance for this tutorial as it is the world’s largest exchange.
Wallet
A wallet is where you store your cryptocurrencies. Each cryptocurrency has a wallet and each wallet has a wallet address.
There are different types of wallets (hardware, browser, exchange)

4. STEPS.
1.Create a crypto exchange account
2.Purchase crypto at the exchange
3.Install MetaMask
4.Add Crypto network to MetaMask wallet
5.Add Crypto token to MetaMask wallet
6.Transfer Crypto to MetaMask wallet
7.Connect MetaMask wallet to Smart Contract

5. 1. CREATE A CRYPTO EXCHANGE ACCOUNT
● If you don’t already have an account, you can sign-up for a new Binance account
using this link
● Follow the instructions to setup your account
● You will need to upload photo ID to verify your account
● Setup and enable 2 Factor Authentication (2FA). This is an important security
feature and is highly recommended to secure your exchange account

6. 2. PURCHASE CRYPTO AT THE EXCHANGE
● Once you’ve setup your account you’re ready to purchase crypto
● You can purchase crypto using:
○ Your debit/credit card (most convenient option, but there is typically a
charge)
○ Bank transfer (usually cheaper than using a debit/credit card)
● Once you have fiat (e.g. £, $, €) in the exchange you can purchase crypto
● For this tutorial you will need to purchase a cryptocurrency called BNB

7. 3. INSTALL METAMASK
MetaMask is a software wallet that you can install on your phone and computer.
● You need a browser such as Kiwi/Brave/Chrome
● Go to the Google Play Store / Apple App Store or metamask.io on your computer
● Install Google MetaMask Extension (Google Play Store)
● Setup username and password
● Record the Passphrase in a safe place (important - if you lose this phrase you will lose access to your wallet)

8. 4. ADD CRYPTO NETWORK TO METAMASK WALLET
Before you can add the tokens to your MetaMask wallet you will need to the correct network first
● Log in to MetaMask
● Click the network button and select Custom RPC
● Enter the following details
○ Network Name: Smart Chain
○ New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
○ ChainID: 56
○ Symbol: BNB
○ Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com
● Click Save, you’ve now added the Binance Smart Chain to MetaMask

9. 5. ADD CRYPTO TOKEN TO METAMASK WALLET
● On the Assets tab in MetaMask click Import tokens
● Enter the contract address below:
○0x0e09fabb73bd3ade0a17ecc321fd13a19e81ce82
● Click Add Custom Token
● You should now see CAKE in the assets list

10. 6. TRANSFER CRYPTO TO METAMASK WALLET
● Once you’ve added the crypto token to MetaMask you can now send crypto to your MetaMask wallet
● Make sure you’re on the Binance Smart Chain network in MetaMask, then click the 0x… number
under your account name. This will copy your MetaMask wallet address
● To transfer Crypto to MetaMask, you must purchase BNB in the exchange. Once purchased you can
click withdraw
● Now paste the MetaMask wallet address, i.e. the 0x number from MetaMask
● Make sure you select the BSC network to send BNB to your MetaMask wallet (Binance will
automatically select the correct network when you paste in your MetaMask wallet address)
● Authorise your payment with 2FA
● Your BNB should arrive in your MetaMask wallet shortly

11. 7. CONNECT METAMASK WALLET TO SMART CONTRACT
● Open browser and go to BNBMiner.finance
● Log in to MetaMask and select Binance Smart Chain
● Click Connect Wallet on the BNBMiner.finance website
● A popup will display asking you to select wallet to connect, select MetaMask
● Enter the amount of BNB you would like to deposit, then click Hire Miners (leave some
BNB in your wallet to cover the transaction fees)
● A MetaMask popup will appear, approve the transaction showing the BNB fees
● Allow some time for the transaction to propagate on the smart chain
● Once the transaction has been completed you will see the number of miners you have
purchased. These miners will earn 24/7
● You have the option to pocket (withdraw) or compound (hire more miners) your earnings

12. SECURITY.
● We recommend that larger balances are NOT left in MetaMask due to the risk of hacking.
Consider transferring crypto to safer wallets such as hardware wallets (e.g. Ledge Nano) or
cold wallets (offline)
● Always use a dedicated browser when using MetaMask to reduce the risk of hacking
● Always use caution when approving MetaMask transactions, if you’re unsure try
transferring a small amount before sending the rest of your funds
● Use a strong password (uppercase & lowercase letters, numbers and symbols) when
setting up your MetaMask account and never store your password on the cloud or email
● Securely store your MetaMask Pass Phrase. Do not save in an email or in the cloud
