Students conducted a project to raise awareness about human activities that are disturbing wildlife. They observed that humans hunt animals for fun, kill them due to misguided beliefs, and pollute the environment with plastic waste. This harms animals and disrupts ecosystems. To address these issues, the students decided to adopt animals, participate in conservation programs, and educate others about protecting wildlife and preventing extinction. Their goal is to promote humane treatment of animals and preservation of natural habitats.

1. INTRODUCTION:-Now a days because of large growing population
human activities are increasing enormously which is causing a huge
disturbance in wildlife activities.
We are trying to make a project to show various activities which are
disturbing wildlife and food web at macro level. We intend to
Focus on various ways animals are disturbed and measures that can be
taken as an alternative to save wildlife without reaching the stage of
being extinct.
NEEDED STATEMENT:-we human beings with our high power
knowledge and thinking capacity are interfering enormously in wildlife
activity not only for our selfish needs but also for the sake of fun and
entertainment.
For Example: - we can see various people hunting just for the sake of fun
and entertainment but nobody is conscious about the animals which are
being affected by these activities. This is not only harming the animals
but also theeco system .
People try to kill the animals for their selfish needs as they assume that
animals may cause harm. If at all they see the animals they either
harass them or kill them.
People tie the hair of various animals to their vehicles thinking that this
can prevent them from accidents. They are pulling the hair of the
animals or even killing them for this purpose to satisfy the religious
believes or superstations.
People also throw stones at animals. This brings entertainment to them
but this is causing irritation to animals which is not understood by the
people.
They also feed the animals with unhealthy materials in national parks
and zoos which is affecting the dietary habits of the animals based on
the natural habitat.

2. Similarly, plastic garbage thrown everywhere is accidentally eaten by
cattle. Research has proved that milk of cattle is containing this plastic
material which is hazardous to humans.
So in order to bring awareness and as a precautionary measure, some
actions are to be taken by the people to protect the animals and
prevent them from becoming extinct. We are trying our level best to
bring awareness. We human beings, being more intelligent must care
our co-living beings and by sharing the mother earth, bring in
harmony.
WORK PLAN AND METHODOLOGY:-Students and teachers actively
participated in this project. Students collected information related to
the topicand some materials by having a field visit to Bannergatta
national park and observed activities done there.
By doing so , we had "HANDS ON EXPERIENCE" and were able to
prepare charts, posters, photos and video clippings etc.
RESULT:-This project has helped to bring awareness among all of us to
protect animals in general and prevent cruelty to animals at individual
as well as at community level.
SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM:-1.Students have decided to adopt certain
animals in the zoo.
2.Decidied to participate actively in Wildlife conservation programme
like THE NATURE CONSERVANCY, when theyare conducted to show how
wild life is important and what preventive measures can be taken to
conserve them.
3.Collected contact data and understood the importance of,WWF,
NRDC, THE SIERRA CLUB,ICF,FRIENDS OF HALEAKALA NATIONAL
PARK,RSPB,OCENA,CONSERVATION INTERNATIONAL,WCSfor any help
needed at any point of time.
We have LEARNT THAT many animals areextinct. It is the right time for
us to awake and prevent cruelty to animals and conserve wild life and
save it for future.
As Swami Vivekananda adage goes;AWAKE, ARISE and STOP NOT,
TILL YOU PREVENT,SOME MORE ENDANGERED ANIMALS, BECOME
EXTINCT.

3. KNOW NATURE, ELSE THERE IS NO FUTURE!!!
 Feel :-Man harms the animals, destroying their environment by
cutting down trees or polluting the earth , by hunting animals for
food, clothing , ornaments and trophies.
 Imagine:- we should bring awareness among people that we
should not cut the forests. If we do so , so many birds , insects
and mammals lose their natural habitat. They lose their source of
food. If one species is wiped out another species in the food
chain may also be affected.
 Do:-
1. stop cutting down trees.
2. Stop hunting and killing animals for profit making
3. Stop pumping chemical waste from factories into river, lakes and
oceans. Fishes and other creatures come to drink are poisoned.
