already offline.
The analysis comprised:

* specificity/category;
* the initial investment;
* the amount of projects that were successfully financed;
* the amount passed on to users;
* the business model;
* date of shutting down (data collected for the already offline
platforms).
5. Observed pattern:
National players are only launched when there is a foreign successful pioneer.
In Jan/11, 2 years after KickStarter, Catarse was launched. Its founders classified it as the first Brazilian crowdfunding plataform.
