chaos!

parent and the
responsibilities involved

“Feed them well”
”Keep them healthy!”
“Provide them with natural ingredients”
“Keep them safe”
“Teach them to keep things clean and tidy”
“Teach them the
value of work”
“Provide them
cultural
resources”
“Teach them artistic values”
“And, of course, do it at your
maximum.
Those years pass so fast!...”
Parenthood: Amazing!
But still EXHAUSTING!
This would already be a
challenge in a smooth world.
But we are in a BANI world!

1.BRITTLE:

it’s on the verge of collapse.”

do?

First invitation:
take a step back and gain perspective
Invite a “thinking big” attitude:
having a global vision and a wider perspective
Expectativas
Start by questioning the
obvious about
what you can and can’t do
... And dare surfing
unconventional ways
(If they work for you)
Focusing on
achieving your
goals,
despite external
difficulties
Change what is
possible to
change and
coherently adapt
when change is
not possible
And when planning
helps but doesn’t
guarantee success,
where can we search
for resources?
We will need extra strengths to overcome challenges!
So...
What are your
internal
strengths?
Multitasking?
Flexibility?
Adaptability?
Creativity?
But challenges will always be present,
anyway!
So...
How do you
overcome
challenges?
Sharing responsibilities?
Encouraging curiosity about
other solutions?
Questioning and erasing prejudices?
Creating a
network with
whom you can
share and
learn?
Allowing yourself to be
helped by others
(or asking for help, if no one
offers!)
This is a great invitation to reinvent
ourselves from new places, skills
and roles
So...
How can
reinvention
look like?
Daring to get out of the clean, tidy zone
and
exploring more about yourself
And keeping in mind that despite
everything that happens,
you can still believe that
everything is possible
Accepting uncertainty and a good amount
of risks as part of the journey
Seeing where do they take you!
And always staying rooted
in your own core values
Creating a meaningul journey
So...
What keeps us
on track?
1. Sense of purpose –
what justifies the effort
at the end of the day
2. Knowing you are doing the right thing
3. Reminding of the bigger
picture,
and the bigger impact you
can have
There’s no plan B.
We have to make this one work.
