This year, I have watched several tv shows. Using streaming services was a reoccurring theme for me. Here are some shows I have watched with ratings and descriptions. Enjoy!
The universe of The Simpsons is wide. It is formed by hundreds of characters, each one with a very defined profile. Its objective: to parody entirely to the society. We can find for almost any situation a character who gives life to the series. To analyze the influence of the program The Simpsons in the society is of vital importance, since with this essay it is tried to evidence the unknown contents that are sent to the viewers, in this case to the young people and as these influence in their behavior and their relation with society.
The tone of the series has undergone transformations, being missed by many the most acid tone of the first seasons, as well as their stories more based on the own characteristics of the main characters. The change can be noticed even in the drawing. The first issues surprised by their hard outlines, almost childish strokes, that contrasted with the sharpness of the proposal. They did not need a more sophisticated package. Now, on the contrary, we can see how the series was based on the best techniques of animation in 3D. Its writers define themselves for the most part on the left or, as they say in the U.S.A., “liberals”, and that is reflected in the type of humor, that without becoming radical always reveals the nonsense of the system. The series always tried to connect with the reality. The name of the city, Springfield, is not coincidence. There are at least five Springfields in the U.S.A. The location on the map is never revealed in the series. The intention is to represent any family and any city. The satire helps to show by the absurd one the madness of this world. One more personage is the television: It is a member more of the family, wanted and respected by all. Bart, a problematic boy whose behavior is also a product of the environment. Homer is the typical American average, at the most gross better, with a great heart and a big stomach. Marge assumes the traditional familiar values, even at the cost of her personal annulment.
If we go out on the street, we find a corrupt police officer, as well as incompetent. The local politician, robbing with his best smile. School education is unable to connect with its students: an ingenuous director and a totally apathetic teaching staff. In the work place appears Mr. Burns, perfect archetype of the capitalist. On television, Krusty, a clown who instead of making children smile and excite, directs a millionaire industry of entertainment, merchandising and hamburgers. The children are saved, but only in part. Each shows how society affects him: the twin sisters reproducing the status quo; Milhouse accepting failure before it happens; Nelson trying to return the slap. Bart always brandishes his rebelliousness (I would say that he is among the healthiest of the show) and Lisa, she is the thinking exception. Most of the time, she is the one that defends some principle against all Springfield, but even she falls into American topics.

Derek Springfield, an 18-year-old misfit, is at home for the summer, waiting for his Oxbridge results. He kills time by exercising a no-chance greyhound, Slapper, and admiring out-of-his-league beauty Chrissie from afar. Under Derek’s loving care, Slapper gets fitter and faster — so fast she’s stolen for her racing potential. A miserable Derek is beside himself. But just when he thinks he’ll never see Slapper again, she escapes from her captors and finds her way back to Derek.
Dusty and Me, formally known as Slapper and Me is the tale of Derek Springfield. Derek is an 18-year-old misfit, who has just returned home at the end of his studies to wait for his Oxbridge results that he’s hoping will result in his permanent escape from his home in the industrial outskirts of Hull.
"Devil May Care" A film to be Directed and Produced by Gabriella Tagliavini. The suggested cast is different than what is on plan, with Christian Slater and Jessica Alba. Lions Gate bought the film and it is a sure success, feel free to contact me at 801 660 7373 for more info.
This is a list that I make every year about the most important movie or TV related award shows that lead to the the Oscars. I will upgrade it later with the Spirits and the actual Oscars. I think is a great place to see where it's stands and have an overall view. Hope you like it and if you do share.
1. Creating the package.
Stage one, Downton abbey the movie.
Whilst the family have important guests from the south to visit, Daisy falls for the rich, handsome
son and heir to the visiting family’s estate. Throughout the film their story progresses with
Charlie(the love interest) battling with his social standing and trying to stay away from poor Daisy by
flirting with Lady Edith who is more socially acceptable for him to marry. The rest of the family are
struggling with the family business and are going through a few scenarios of money making
schemes. In the end of the film, the family’s business is settles again and Daisy marries Charlie and
becomes heir to his estates.
Stage two, casting.
Hugh Bonneville- Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham
Jim Carter- Charles Carson
Brendan Coyle- John Bates
Michelle Dockery- Lady Mary Crawley
Siobhan Finneran- Sarah O'Brien
Joanne Froggatt- Anna Smith
Rob James-Collier- Thomas Barrow
Phyllis Logan- Mrs. Hughes
Elizabeth McGovern- Cora Crawley, Countess of Grantham
Sophie McShera- Daisy Mason
Lesley Nicol- Mrs. Patmore
2. Maggie Smith- Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham
Laura Carmichael- Lady Edith Crawley
Stage three, director.
Joe Wright will be the director of this film as he also directed the 2005 Pride and Prejudice film
which was a well presented period drama and I think that style will fit nicely with the Downton
abbey story and setting.
Stage four, funding.
Dear potential investor,
Downton Abbey the series have had a steady 10.1 million viewers over the
course of its long and successful show, so now I am here to do the inevitable but also inventive task
of making “Downton Abbey the Movie.” All the original cast and characters will return for this
blockbuster film, this fact alone will entice mass audiences we haven’t seen since the harry potter
franchise. Along with this there will be an intriguing story of from rags to riches with the beloved
scullery maid daisy falling for the wealthy aristocrat Charlie.
We will have Joe wright as the director, he will be perfect for this job as he was highly successful in
another period drama, Pride and Prejudice which in total grossed $38,405,088 in the US alone.
The film will attract a large audience of not only the committed Downton Abbey fans but also a new
audience of period drama romances. This film will cover a large range of subjects from money to
tricky political and social subjects from the time.
The money will be evenly distributed between props, lighting and the crew. Then there will be the
main actors and director getting a share of the money. The rest of the money will be used to make
the setting as luxurious and authentic as possible.
I hope this letter has given you an idea of the sought after film we are trying to produce, your
investment would mean a lot, yours sincerely
Hollie Farnill.
