1) Active Directory Health Profiler allows creating Health Sets to compare Health Pack data against. 2) To create a Health Set, a Health Pack must first be executed to generate data. 1. Creating and Using Health Sets
Active Directory Health Profiler supports creating Health Sets. Active Directory Health Profiler can
compareHealth Pack data with Health Set data. This article explains the use ofHealth Set in Active
Directory Health Profiler.

When you execute a Health Profile, Active Directory Health Profilerexecutes all Health Packs that are
part ofthe Health Profile. As part ofthe execution, Active Directory Health Profilercollects the data for
each Health Pack and then compares Health Pack data with the Health Set data. For example, you can
create a Health Set by name "FSMO Health Set" and then compare Health Set data with the Health
Pack: “Get Active Directory Domain FSMO” data. Let's create and use a Health Set in Active
Directory Health Profiler.
Tocreate a Health Set, you need to make sure that you have executed the Health Pack
once. It is because when you create a Health Set, Active Directory Health Profiler copies
the Health Pack data to the Health Set.
Before you can create a Health Set, make sure to follow the steps outlined below:
1. Create a Health Profile.
2. Add Health Packs to Health Profile. Add “Get Active Directory Domain
FSMO” Health Pack for this example.
3. Execute the Health Profile or individual Health Pack to collect the required data
for “Get Active Directory Domain FSMO” Health Pack.
Tocreate a Health Set, Right click on Health Pack and then click on Generate Data as
shown in the screenshot below:

2. When you click on the “Generate Data” action, the data for Health Pack will be
generated and shown in the Data grid as shown in the screenshot below. Next, you need
to click on “Health Set” menu and then click “Create New Health Set” as shown in
the screenshot below.
Clicking on “Create New Health Set” will bring “Create New Health Set” window
as shown below.

3. Give Health Set a name and then click on “Create” button to create the Health Set in
Active Directory Health Profiler.
Note that when you create the Health Set, Active Directory Health Profiler will copy the
current grid data (data generated by executing Health Pack: Get Active Directory
Domain FSMO) to the Health Set.
Once Health Set is created, you can verify Health Set data by navigating to “Health Set
Configuration” in the configuration pane as shown in the screenshot below.

4. As shown in the screenshot above, Health Set “FSMO Check Health Set” contains
data generated from Health Pack: Get Active Directory Domain FSMO. You can also see
that this Health Set applies to “Health Pack: Get Active Directory Domain
FSMO” which is part of “Health Profile 1” Health Profile. In case you need to modify
Health Set data, you can do so by modifying the text in the data grid shown above.
Once you have created Health Set, it is time to execute the Health Profile. When you
generate the Health Profile report, Active Directory Health Profiler will check to see if
any Health Set is defined for any Health Pack. If yes, it compares the Health Pack data
with the Health Set data and then display the result as shown in the screenshot below:
As you can see in the screenshot above, Active Directory Health Profiler shows “Status:
Ok” for Health Pack: Get Active Directory Domain FSMO. It compared the Health Pack
data with Health Set data and found no problem. So the status reported is “Ok”.
If Health Pack data does not match with Health Set data, Active Directory Health
Profiler will report “Attention Required” as shown in the screenshot below:

5. You can create as many as Health Sets you want and then Active Directory Health
Profiler compare the Health Pack Data with Health Set data. I created another Health
Set by name “Domain Controller Configuration Check” and this Health Set
applies to “Get Active Directory Forest Domain Controller Info” Health Pack.
When I executed the Health Profile, Active Directory Health Profiler compared the
Health Pack data (Get Active Directory Forest Domain Controller Info) with
Health Set data (Domain Controller Configuration Check). It reported status as
“Attention Required”. It is because “IsGlobalCatalog” column data does not match with
Health Pack data as shown in the screenshot below:

6. Final Notes:
A. You need to generate Health Pack data before you can create a Health Set. It is
imperative to understand that you cannot create empty Health Set in this version
of Active Directory Health Profiler.
B. You can modify Health Set data in the Configuration pane.
C. Health Pack data will be compared with Health Set data when you generate the
Health Profile report.
