Blended learning that combines face-to-face and online learning experiences has quickly evolved to be one of the preferred instructional modes in higher education. Students and instructors are attracted to blended courses for the enhanced active learning opportunities and improved learning outcomes. In this session, Dr. Baiyun Chen will explore this trend in higher education and share blended course examples from various disciplines, drawing on her instructional design experience and a wealth of research evidence on blended learning pedagogy. Participants will receive open educational resources, from effective practices to design documents, to help them create their own blended courses.
