‘Digital Twin’ is a digital replication of real world objects, processes, phenomena that can be used for various purposes. Digital twin concept backs to manufacturing industry in early 2000s for the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) purposes. It is based on the idea that a digital informational construct about a physical system could be created as an entity on its own. As cities are going through digital transformation, there are many attempts to apply digital twin concept to manage urban issues. Those attempts look set to play an increasingly important role in the creation of smart cities around the world and in addressing major public health, safety and environmental issues. Bringing the virtual and real worlds together in this way can help to give better analysis, visualization, and simulation to decision-making process. This will be a multi-way process with iterative feedback among stakeholders. In this colloquium, I talked about the recent trends of Smart City from the perspective of digital twin.
Nykaa Man is an e-commerce platform launched in 2018 that offers men's grooming products like shaving, hair care, and fragrances. A survey was conducted to understand awareness and usage of men's grooming products in India. The survey found low awareness of Nykaa Man and that most men do not have grooming routines or spend more than Rs. 1,000 per month on products. While the fashion and lifestyle sections interested some men, they were less enthusiastic about grooming overall. The research can help grooming brands understand consumer behavior in the emerging male grooming industry in India.
What does it take to improve existing public services? Or create new ones which better address citizens’ needs? Which stakeholders need to be involved in order to have real impact? Which organisational set-up is required to create public value?
After recently visiting the ‘Politics for Tomorrow’ conference and being deeply inspired, we invited to an evening on ‘Designing services for the public’. While we discussed the basics in a meet-up two years ago, we took it a step further this time. What can we learn from international government labs for Germany? What are the pressing issues which need to be addressed? How can we as service designers contribute to this change?
Looking at examples from other parts of the world our very own Katrin Dribbisch and Martin Jordan pitched idea of running a ‘Public Service Lab’ in summer 2016 in Berlin. The event took place in the brand-new office of Fjord Berlin in Prenzlauer Berg.

繼第三波「資訊時代」經濟後,文化創意產業被視為第四波經濟動力。不需要歷經文化革命,只是把觀念改變,把文化當作是一種新的資本或是技術來帶動整個經濟發展,「文化時代」就這麼來臨了。
本研究經由文獻整理國內外學者專家評估文化創意產業所應用之準則,整理台灣文化創意產業關鍵成功因素,藉由問卷調查分析相關因素並歸納,以作為國家推動文化創意產業政策參考。
研究架構為主要五大構面,「經濟發展」,「國家發展」,「文創內涵」,「宣導能力」,「地方體驗」,以及35個次要構面。研究結果發現「國家發展」為第一層及最具顯著性。「永續發展」、「提昇就業機會」、「法律諮詢能力」、「正確的推廣保存態度」、「社會環境的需求」為最具顯著性之次要構面。

The document discusses three types of training for developing human resources: learning, training, and development. Learning involves acquiring new knowledge and skills, especially hands-on skills. Training strengthens existing knowledge and skills through re-education, especially hands-on skills. Development refers to building and improving attitudes, abilities, values and beliefs over time, especially for managers, and can be seen as transformational learning. While knowledge and skills can grow quickly through learning and training in the short term, building and improving attitudes, abilities, values and beliefs takes much longer time, even fundamentally without progress.
