Communities for Public Education Reform (CPER) is a national funders' collaborative that has invested $34 million in 140 community groups over 8 years to support education reforms led by grassroots organizing. With campaigns involving organizing, advocacy, research, communications, and alliance building, CPER grantees helped secure over 90 policy wins at federal, state, and local levels between 2007-2014 related to issues like school funding, community engagement, discipline policies, and teacher diversity. Organizations must continue working to defend these wins and ensure new policies are implemented effectively.
